installed the new Cali Raised Cat Shields with the boy. Good time getting a little dirty on the ground and letting the boy wrench a bit.

Nice one! How was the install? Did you get the speakers from Crutchfield?

Nah, I found em on Amazon. Had some credit to use so I snatched em up there instead.

Install was super easy. Probably 4 hours for everything. I wish I would have snapped some more pics. One small piece of advice for anyone doing this, is to remove any retained clips on the doors and attach them to the panels prior to reinstalling the panels. If you don't you run the risk of pushing the clips through the doors.

I knew to do this but I was moving too fast and forgot to replace one on my rear driver's door. Sure enough, I pushed the clip inside the door frame and lost it.

Installed Pro wheels and cheap center caps since Toyota has the caps on backorder until the year 2525. Much better look than the stock OR. The center caps were a PITA; the raised tabs on the caps prevent an easy seating. You can see the dents the wheel makes in the tabs when it is set into the wheel. Each tab was filed slightly, then fitted onto the wheel until the cap snapped into place. After an hour all of the cap were installed and nothing broke.

I agree...They have to be removed and they just don't come out on their own. I just took my Taco the the dealership and they yank down the wire for my forward facing camera and disconnected it. They did not say a word about it till I realized it after leaving the dealership. I was not happy after they tried to deny it. :annoyed:

I had Crager SS wheels on a Dodge Challenger many years ago and I had a police officer that would pull me over all the time to try to buy the wheels off me. :argue: :frusty:

Sorry to take the challenge out of it, but these should do it:
    S1 Switchback Module (pair) (diodedynamics.com)
Hook the DRL to the running input, the turn signal to the turn input. Then tie the turn and running outputs together. Now it will be solid when the DRL is on (just the DRL though, you can also tie the running lights in, but you'll need a few diodes) and blink anytime the turn signal is on.

    Much obliged.
I was finding threads about people doing a switch on the headlights so only assumed same would apply.
    One way or another.

I've also got a Cross Bin 13 so I carry stuff on my DB a lot. I was sweating the install a little, but that's just me. Drilling holes and all that. Got it done without too much drama. I thought looking out the back window was going to suck, but I got used to it. You saw the photo. Some ain't going to like the look. But hey, a 4x4x8 fence post don't look good stuffed through the back window either. If you remove or flip your cab panel then there's that. With all that said if you've got the $$ I think it's worth it.

Yep. Better put some red lens repair tape over those babies before dropping your tailgate at 'the point'. The rear cab light too! OBX'ers know what I'm talking about.

How much material did you need for the doors? I'm doing my fronts first, rears later. Thx.

If you need details or help, hit me up. I’d like to see those installed. I thought about them, but I already have a lot going on

Good use of the spikes. Somewhere I've got a railroad spike painted gold from the 1969 Golden Spike Centennial.

I don’t know if I will ever put these to good use. They are mounted and out of the way.
