Finally got around to replacing the U joints in the rear drive train. One closest to the transfer case wasn't holding grease and I suspected was the cause of some bad shaking when accelerating from a stop. Yep. It's mangled. Learned center bearing assembly needs to be replaced too, so waiting for that before putting it all back together.

Can be. I have no use for them except to have spares. You pay for shipping and you can have em’.

the only thing I think I need to do is remove the headlight bulbs as I have the UHM and believe I swapped them out.

Did a coolant flush (block and radiator, with distilled water then OEM coolant) largely without issue. No spill funnel makes it pretty easy it’s worth the money. The trucks got 140k, I got it at 70k so i assume it was still the factory coolant. It only took 1.5 gallons. I raised the front end up, massaged hoses, drove it around etc that’s all it wanted. I thought I got it pretty empty (i drained into a big jug so idk how much i took out). But the temps were fine on the drive and the heater works so i guess I’ll check over the next few days and see if there is a bubble somewhere in there that needs to be pushed out

Also decided I wanted to flush the power steering fluid. “flush” being a key word because this is all the fluid that was in the reservoir. Maybe 4 oz, and for those that don’t know PS fluid should be yellowy clear. I had 44 oz of power steering fluid. Put oz in, cycled the wheel and pumped it out until I was out of new fluid. Didn’t get it back to perfect, but got it to full and only slightly murky fluid instead of black. As you can imagine my steering is much smoother and quieter. But I’m sure i’ve got a leak. The cheapest way to fix a leak is just to let it all run out

Just install the URD Headers and made exhaust system for my 05. Does anyone know if the 05 Tacoma's ECU is tunable or am I strict to just a piggyback system?

I redesigned and released all new QuikFix™ "safe" spacers for rear brackets of front seats (2nd gen/3rd gen/FJ Cruiser). Brackets sit in the spacers securely instead of on top of flat spacers. 20230818_080132.jpg

I use Maxlife ATF for my power steering fluid, which is reddish in colour. I suspect there are a few different colours of PS fluid, but like you mention, black fluid is an indicator that maintenance is required.
