Just installed a Eibach stage 2 kit with 1.5 in the rear. Can I install 287/70/17 on my stock sport wheels? I don’t want the tires to stick out past the stock fender flares.

Look up tinkerers adventure on youtube to truly understand running bigger tires on these trucks as lift doesn't mean bigger. But to burst the bubble early the offset on the stock pro wheels will not fit a 285 without rubbing on the upper control arm. You will need a wheel with less positive offset to clear. You can run a 0 offset or +5 and still be within or just flush with the wheel well

Will a 275/70/17 be ok then?

265/70 or 255/80 are you best bet with that wheel offset especially if your going to an AT.

Thanks. Really don’t want to purchase new wheels.

Then I would be looking the skinny route. There's other aspects to fitting a 285 that go beyond just the wheel offset problem.
The 255/80 is virtually the same diameter without the width

Ok so decided to go with a set of trd pro wheels in 17in. Do I go with 17/7 0 or 5 offset, or do I need to go wider. Definitely want the 285/70/17

0 or 5 will be fine. Be sure to find a shop that understands caster to tweak your alignment to optimize clesrence as the cab mount. Some guys have succeeded in not rubbing on stock uca's but most replace them to get the camber dialed back in atleast from the lift.

What TRD Pro wheels Tacoma or 4Runners? The 4Runners are +4 offset and I run them with 285s with no issues. A little adjusting of the mudguards and a good alignment is the key.

I want to say 0 offset will bring you about even with the fender. Seems to be the case with most. I kept my +25 wheels and used 1.25" Spidertrax spacers. Bringing it to -7mm. Just a little poke. 265/75r16.
Wanted 285's but as "cool" as they look they aren't optimal for my daily driving.
I see others keeping with the 265 or 255 lately.

285/70/17 fit without rubbing for me but I had a 2.5” lift and no mud flaps. I ended up pushing out with -10 offset wheels and needed a CMC and pinch weld flattening.
