Good morning, everyone. It got cool the past 2 nights, like mid 50's.. I slept like a log. I have been trying to get work on the deck this weekend, so far I haven't been able to touch a single deck board. Yesterday started with a trip to the land fill to dump about 20 gallons of used engine oil. I couldn't believe how many jugs of used oil that I hoarded over the past 3 years. I took the firewood truck on that trip. then when I was done I got a message from a guy near Gettysburg that had some skid plates and a hitch for the truck, so I took a chance and took the old beater on its 1st sea trial run. It did ok, overall. By the time I got home, I needed to cut the grass. I got the back yard almost done, the tractor sputtered and shut down.

I poked around and couldn't find any obvious reason for the problem, so I cranked it again and it fired right up.

I get outside of the yard onto the side hill and it died again. I ended up having to push the damn thing uphill in the street then into the back yard. I tried a snort of starting fluid and it cam to life but was running crappy. I think that there is a blockage in the carb, but now I get to play small engine mechanic and fix this mess instead of working on the deck. Ughhh

    Very cool! Where is that?

Glad to see you coming back with updates of your travels!

Was surprised yesterday. Went to Sam's Club and it was almost a ghost town in there, self checkouts and regular checkouts had no lines, cashiers were bored. Pre covid was a madhouse based on rumors but a big storm and crickets. We were just doing our usual shopping.

We were just on the edge of it for rain. We're supposed to get another few 10ths but that's supposed to hit us sideways.

    Stay safe.

Thanks. Had to go help some dying family members. It was brutal but we endured. Now we're off to see the Country again, one State or National Park at a time.

We're in a total dust storm right now. 60+ mph winds. There's a new blue tarp that blew into my back yard...and it can just stay where it's at.

Hard to believe we had over 1" of soaking rain and we're in a dust storm.
