Did anyone happen to catch the size of the JBL subwoofer size behind the rear seat. I saw it in one of the release videos in Hawaii, but I don’t recall them saying the size.

    Simple OME/884/AAL lift. 32” WP’s
To be fair I have an 8” Velodyne powering a small living room system. The issue is Toyota puts comically impotent drivers in their vehicles.

I remember we had a 2000 Avalon with the JBL system. It had an 8" sub in the rear deck lid. Thing blew pretty quickly after we bought it (used). Aftermarket sub replaced it and it sounded pretty decent for a year 2000 vehicle.

I forgot that they're also adding that option for the removable JBL speaker on the dash. That will be interesting

Ive got the JBL, its lethargic....
The sub is lacking unless you play heavy bass specific music from utube, then it mostly pours out mostly still out of the other speakers.
I have no idea if I want to get the beat-sonic plug & play amp or get the rear, install a real amp & sub & go from there...
I expected more but from what im reading its typical of toyota / jbl...

I like the JBL system in my OR, but my only apprehension is the removable front speaker. It's an easy target for :censored: thieves doing a smash and grab. I've been removing it every time I do a quasi long parking period.

I got the same inclination. For something no one asked for, I risk damage, paperwork, and most importantly time dealing with a break-in. I couldn't care less if someone gets it. Just don't damage my truck for it. I think when I get my truck, that useless POS is going away into the basement.

Agreed. Of all the other potential mechanical upgrades Toyota could have introduced… they added a removable speaker !?!?

Not sure what u-all are accustom to, but the JBL sound is better than average... If you prefer the low banging base, all that's in preference. I had the JBL in my 2nd gen and it was terrific.
