Recently having issue with truck not starting. Turn key on nothing happens, all gauges, lights, windows, radio. Etc work, but nothing when you hit the key. Don’t do it all the time, just at the most inconvenient places. New starter, starter relay, new battery, & terminals. Wondering how to direct start when this happens until I can get the problem figured out.
    Thanks Robert

Checked brake switch & shifter switch.

    Welcome to the Forum!

New battery terminals being this is a 99 have the cables ever been replaced?

Corrosion under the rubber can be a problem and unseen.

    Ground connections clean and tight.

Another area to check is the wire to the starter solenoid they like to break from thermal cycling and cause intermittent problems.

While you may have checked the neutral safety switch what about the connection and harness?

Then Denso rebuilt starters from my Toyota dealer or a Denso rebuilt by the Local Mom and Pop electrical shop seem to be the best quality.

    Good luck!
