Thanks man but I will probably need to get it sorted before then, need the 4runner to cart Sofia around particularly when she starts up school here in a week. Esp since it's the calipers, don't want to risk driving her around in it with sketchy brakes

So, we were expecting crazy storms at 3pm.

It's 630pm and don't get me wrong, I'm all for some rain but it's been overcast and dry the entire day.

Off-topic, but every time I start using my Thinkpad more, I remember how nice it is to have mouse buttons on a laptop.

Funny how us on the east coast think the same thing, "bummer," lol. When really its like, no, that's a good thing!

    Agreed.
I love the track point/track pad system - my current Mac pad beneath the keyboard is annoying..

I switched to Macs when I was 15, and aside from some tinkering haven't been back with any real dedication, but bought my first Thinkpad last year to wade in a little as an aside to my other machines, and its so nice to have. Took me a few to get used to the trackpoint, but the three button mousepad setup is so good. Also....MATTE SCREENS!
Plus the keyboard travel wipes the floor with my Macbook Pro.
Attempting to get used to Windows. I'm dual booting with Linux.

    I'm a weirdo, I enjoy the rain

That and drivers here aren't too bad until you start pushing up into Fresno (which I stay away from anyway)

Love the rain as well. Hopefully you just get the milder bits of it. Maybe a little temp drop as bonus.

Temp drop we got 2 days ago and it's been a steady 70s; nothing but overcast so I'm really digging the weather

Was caught up on my orders so I texted my buddy if he'd let me borrow his 1st Gen one of these days; I missed his call cause I went to the garage but he damn near called me right after to tell me to go grab it from his house

Told him not now since we're expecting rain but I plan to borrow it to mock up my own skid for it

    70s sounds niiiice.
FWIW I'm still stock everything on the underside if you ever need measurements. Not sure if it'd help, but :notsure:

I like it when it rains too.
Usually cools things off a bit.

The exception is when it is 34F and raining in the winter - fucking miserable.. why can't it just snow.

Fortunately I got most my measurements from that skid plate file I made for someone else

The downside is I'm really only using one set of those measurements and that's for the front mounting; after that I'd still need to do some in-person modeling with it

Plan is to do a two-piece, minimize actual work in fabricating it, and offer it in 10 gauge of 3/16" at an affordable price

I have 4 ready-and-waiting buyers as they want something simple without the logos and shit other companies put on, not to mention the price

Man, I've been in some miserable cold weather but never in a sort of freezing rain

That sounds like a whole bunch of suck

    Just above freezing and raining
It is saturated humid air too - penetrates to the bone..
The exact opposite of a dry heat
It is a special kinda miserable ..
