That super sucks, but I’m happy you and the pups weren’t injured. Could you stop somewhere on the way home? Surely there’s a shop with some in Colorado?

This. Over torqued wheel lugs by a Toyota Tech from the last time my truck was in... I'm going to reach out to them but dont have high hopes they will take any blame since it was maybe 4 months ago...
I'm not sure, I'm home now. Everything about this trip was going wrong from day 1 when my A/C crapped out in Amarillo leaving me and the dogs to suffer in the heat. Pretty sure the compressor took a shit again. If true it will be my 3rd A/C Compressor since getting this truck. First one was covered under warranty and completely died in a lot of noise as it imploded its fan propeller. The second was under recall and didn't actually die but was making the same noise as the first one that died. This one didnt give me any warning, was working great all the way to Amarillo with no noise stopped for gas got back in and nothing. I'm going to see if Toyota will cover it but I doubt they will unless the recall was expanded.

Some crackhead did the catalytic converter delete mod on my Tundra the other day....That's what I get for trying to save a buck by parking at the Belt Line DART station and riding one stop into the airport.

HAHAHA, Caliber Collision said my trucks too modified to fix the body damage to my truck from the wheel coming off. I am just baffled by that response from them, a body shop that cant complete body work.

Thanks for the rec. I went by a shop close by that would be more than happy to work on it even with the "mods". Just have to get everything set with insurance since caliber was able to act as the adjuster so I didnt need that part done first when dealing with them. Spoke with the adjuster today and will have the repair quote from them today or Monday that I can go to the shop with.

Sounds like how my hail repair worked; they’ll low ball the appraisal, so you’ll just file an addendum to get the rest paid after.

Thats what I'm expecting because we dont know how much hidden damage there is. The fender moved a lot. I have a feeling its going to be at least double the insurance quote. They already re imbursed me for the tow and mechanical fixes to make it driveable home!

Has anyone replaced their windshield with a Pilkington or PGW lately? I need to replace my windshield but it seems like most glass places are doing Fuyao.

Caliber sucks. They overcharge for what they do. I was not at all impressed that the guy who quoted me was just parroting what the computer told him to say, at least until it was time to talk money. Once the invoice came out, that's when I saw the A-Game. When I pulled multiple quotes for body repair, I did notice a strong reverse correlation between an honest shop and a fancy lobby.

Polished marble, inspirational art, and bottled water = you're about to need a second mortgage for a Bondo job.

If you have to sidestep car parts just to open a cracked, dimly lit door, you're either about to get quality work at an honest price, or you're about to get your organs harvested.

Hey everyone. I moved to DFW last year and unfortunately my front driver side door has taken a beating with dings and scratches since then. What body shop do y’all recommend that can make her look a little better? Any help is appreciated!
