Computers and phones don’t normally cause any issues. They are typically well shielded.

Are you sure the immobilizer in your truck is not causing the interference you are experiencing. I know someone that recently had a major problem with it

I’m sure. As soon as the Aucar powers down the noise floor drops to zero. Could be the Amp or possibly the display power regulator which dims it. I noticed the hissing is significantly reduced when the backlight is not on full bright. As mentioned above, turning down the volume gain boost helps the hiss(not the rf noise) considerably fortunately.

I was wondering if anyone could help me out, I have the newer version of the unit and I have CarPlay issues! When it was new it connected to my iPhone just fine, now it just has the loading screen and it won’t connect to the phone, when I reboot the unit it connects right away. The only way it works is to reboot each time. I went back to factory something’s and reinstall everything and it worked fine for about a week, now it’s doing the same thing, I have to reboot the unit for CarPlay to connect to the iPhone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Too many to list

Having similar issues recently with Android Car...I'm still using a Samsung S10+ and it originally worked fine via BT. Connected to Car Auto & all was great. The last several weeks I've had to use my phone as a hot spot to use maps & music functionality because it wouldn't connect to Car Auto. Now I can't even do that because the OTA Android update has a hotspot bug which causes the phone to restart. that aside, I'm still unable to connect via BT to Car Auto. To clarify, the tablet connects to the phone via BT just fine, but not the Car Auto app....

Hey guys, I have flipped through many of the pages on the Aucar unit and just cannot seem to find out how to use the OBD II functions with this unit. Do I need an app or am I just missing something?

Hey thanks for the reply Evenflow. I have decided that this HU is not for me but after initially responding to my emails then finding out that I am just not happy with the unit the mic was dropped.

Has anyone played with both the AuCar and the Joying in a side by side comparison fashion? Trying to decide between the two.

I'm about to purchase the AuCar. I guess the 2nd Gen is the Android11 in the drop down?

I chatted with them on their site and they said it doesn't come with any cameras, although some people above report it coming with one.

Also, can anyone confirm it comes with the wired OBDII connector? Didn't know if I had to purchase their wifi OBDII product.

    Thanks in advance
    JP

My Gen2 AuCar came with a camera and the wired obdII connector. It was ordered and shipped back in Q1 of 2023.

OK cool. I guess I will just buy one extra and if it doesn't come with one I can always get a second later.

For the OBDII connection - how much information do you get on the screen? Tire pressures? Gauges? Anything else?

Mine also came with a one rear camera, and the wired OBD connector.
This OBDII interface only displays speed and RPM’s.

Are there any apps or anything to get more from the OBDII connection? That seems fairly limited with all the info that could be there?

Did y'all get the 4GB RAM or the 8GB RAM version of the Gen2? Wondering if it's worth the extra $100.

8GB for sure, the 1st gen didnt have that and you could tell the difference on the new generation. If you need a discount code Evident will save $50

I'm glad you said that. At $1000 I was just going to get on their mailing list and wait for a Black Friday or some other sale. Not sure $50 will make me buy right now, but it's good to know.

Hey guys. I remember somebody in here posted an alternate DSP app that had better crossover slopes and stuff. Not coming up in a search…
