I think it's probably priced a little high? But I'm hoping I can get some offers in the realm of what I'd like to sell it for.

I got around to doing the fork seals today. I made a mess of everything but it didn't seem too terrible to do. I hope they don't leak and the bike rides a little better than the pogo sticking it's been doing now.

I think making a mess is just part of it  Without fail every time i've done a set of forks I've ended up shooting fluid out the top or a side hole all over myself. Every. Time.

Oh great, already getting the "It's $1800 new" comments on my Navi. Might as well keep it!

If they really were $1800 new I’d have bought one a long time ago.

Most don’t understand the tax title license, set up and delivery of purchasing new.
Best thing to do is ignore the ignorant reply’s and just stay the course. What I like to do is when people low ball I accept their offer then ghost them. It’s kinda fun

One lesson I've learned about doing front forks, don't wear a shirt you weren't already planning on throwing out. Ruined a couple of t-shirts I really liked and learned not to do that again.

I love a well done cafe racer. In many ways they're superior machines to the stock unit. What I dislike is the idea of taking a very good condition to near mint stock machine and using it as the basis for a cafe racer. There are plenty of bikes out there beyond economical restoration that are perfect candidates for a cafe bike. Use them instead. Leave good stock units for the restorers. There's room for both in the world.

just a couple of things tbh
i can see that but i can also see someone wanting a good base to start with instead of something extremely rough that needs more work

You said you were coming up the shoulder less than 5 mph meaning traffic was stopped, so what dust and debris are you avoiding in stop and go congestion? Yes I have ridden in plenty of construction zones.

No it really is a good analogy since there is no legit reason to ride up the shoulder to get ahead of everyone else that has been waiting. Just because you are on a bike means nothing. Yes if I'm in line waiting in a car then I would be personally effected. Fucking entitled bikes bug the hell out of me.

I just ignore those tire kickers. I do think your price is too high, though; even for the CA market. Realistically, $2k-$2,200 is the most you should expect.

That is funny, you are so inconvenienced because a bike jumped the line in front of you. I doubt the bike jumping the line will hold you up but I bet you will hold the bike up if he stayed behind you. Some states ,I believe allow lane splitting, does that effect you? Rhetorical. Some bikers just don't like the thought of having to many people in cages around them so they just want to get ahead. Ever have someone in a car try to run you off the road because the can't " see" or " hear you"? Do you even ride a bike on the street? Find bigger things in life to bug you.

$2k-2200 is what I'm aiming for, but you don't list the bike for what you actually want and hope someone will pay you asking, you have to put in some wiggle room.

Plus, it's cheaper than other used Navis that are all stock.

I had the foresight to change out of my new shirt before starting on the job and ended up with a nice stripe of oil down the front. I was very glad to have changed out my shirt right then.

My friend also came over with his new Ford Maverick while I was working and said "I'd let you drive it but you're too dirty".

How would the bike being in line behind a car hold anything up in stopped traffic? Just makes no sense, I don't see what staying in the line hurts. Like I said before being on a bike is not different than a car, wait your turn. No lane splitting where I live. Yes I have had a couple near misses with folks not seeing me and cutting me off. Riding defensively helps. But riding the shoulder where nobody expects you to be is safe? Yes I do I currently own four street bikes.
