Driveshaft spacer for 2 inch lift

I lifted my regular cab with the full icon rear leaf pack. The rear driveline has a decent vibration. If anyone has used a driveshaft spacer at 2 inches of lift what size driveshaft spacer did you use?

That’s a tough one to answer, each could be different. To get rid of most my driveline vibs, I used a stack of 8 (i think) stainless fender washers as spacers on each side. There is a long thread about chasing the vibrations with different approaches. I went ahead and tried getting my driveline angle to as close to 0° difference from transfer case to rear diff. The carrier bearing can also move slightly left or right of center and cause vibs too.

 

his is single cab with single piece drive shaft. He would have to adjust pinion angle

 

you’ll need to find pinion angle and adjust with shims under the leaf packs

 

the trans output flange and the pinion flange need to be on the same plane for single piece drive shaft, unless you have a double cardan ujoint

 

I had considered that but the wording for driveshaft spacer led me to comment.

Ya I was think I was going to need shims. Didn’t know if I’d need the driveshaft spacer as well. The splines on my driveshaft have some play I thought that might have been due to the shaft not being long enough for the ride height.

 

They’re cheap spend the money put it in 15 minute job in the driveway and I’ll be less stressed on the drive train

Some people say get out your phone app and measure angles.
Never did, no vibration from there.

got ARB spacer kit. Then when I switched to IEDLS poly carrier bearing I mimicked the spacer height for it when choosing sleeves to get and long bolts that hold it.

 

you said only 2” of lift, that’s not a lot. It could be that you need to pull apart your DS and grease the splines.
