What’s your #1 Mod?

How does a full tank affect your suspension? Curious about this mod, especially after a recent trip from SC to Utah...thanks

I have the HD springs from Dakar so I don't notice any difference in my suspension. For reference the stock tank holds 21.1 gal of fuel, the aftermarket tank holds approximately 33 gal of fuel. The difference between fuel weight from the stock to the aftermarket tank is 72.27 lbs of fuel if 1 gallon of gas weighs 6.073 lbs. I cant remember the exact weight of the LRA tank, but it is steel coated with something that looks like powder coat. I needed a jack to help maneuver it around under the truck so it's heavier than one person can handle by hand while installing hardware. The weight should be on the LRA website, but I think its between 50 lbs to 100 lbs. So if you want to play it safe, a full tank of fuel in the LRA will add approximately 200lbs of additional weight to the truck.

If you're talking about mileage per tank, that will vary vehicle to vehicle. With my mods, I get on average 12.8 mpg. So if my maths is correct, 33x12.8=422.4 miles to zero. I hope this helps.

My 1st is The TRD intake In combination with the TRD cat back exhaust. Despite what the naysayers say you will get a slight increase in power and mileage when these are installed together along with great sound. 2nd is the TRD short throw shifter for the 6M transmission.

This is a tough one. The 3 inch lift and wheels easily top two. When it comes down to it though the wheels made a huge impact.

 

Other owners I've met here suggested, and I agree that the 3rd Gen wheels are a great look on 2nd Gens.

Are those 3gen OR rims? If yes how did you get them to fit on a sport?

 

They bolt right on, I had those wheels before my current set. Just have to get sensors and lugs for aluminum wheels on a 2nd gen if you have steelies.

 

Nice. I've been considering a black stripe and United Federation of Planets logo.

 

The lug pattern is the same but sports came and still do come with 17’s, OR’s with 16’s.

It’s my understanding that the brakes are larger on the sports and 16” rims don’t fit. Limiting sport owners to options of pro, 4R or Fj takeoffs.

Apparently I’m missing something. Would be nice if they fit no problem because there’s a lot more OR takeoffs laying around than 3gen pro (17”) take offs.

 

I’m almost positive, all 05-15 6 lug Taco’s are all the same brakes.

 

I must be interpreting shit wrong and need to do more reading.
