F'er finger was amputated by a dog.

No bueno and as much as I love dogs, there's no room for this behavior.

That's why I always yell at the owner instead of the dog.

A surgeon is gonna have a fun time trying to reattach it. I'd imagine it's about as far from a clean cut as you can get.

The owner is responsible for sure. But the dog bit someone. Sure hope they are well insured.

She was trying to pull two normally friendly dogs apart and one of them turned it’s head and snapped. A scuffle over treats if you can believe it. We’re driving down to Stanford from Marin as there’s no one available any closer to do the delicate work.

Stanford is great, I had eye stuff done there. Hope they can get it done.

Thanks guys. From personal experience it’s the waiting for treatment while doubts creep in that's the hardest. She’s an active person who loves swimming and gardening and both will be suspended for awhile.

Wow, that is a scary story to hear. Best hopes that your GF is in surgery right now and the surgeons are successful in restoring full function. Also good that you kept a clear mind and got her to where they can help the best in a situation where time is critical.

Humpty is patched up(no reattachment). Had to wait until ~3am to get a place to have it re-examined and the work done but things progressed rapidly after that. I left her in trauma RM 3 to take a leak and get some water and wasn’t allowed back into that section of the ER wing so I went back to the truck to wait. She woke me up about 10 minutes to 7 and we drove home taking 30 minutes less than the trip down even with driving slower on 280 this morning (Friday traffic sucked). I’m toast.

Sucks that they weren’t able to reattach it. But it could always be worse (sorry for sounding cliche). Glad to hear she’s okay though and now y’all can get some much needed rest! Here’s to a speedy recovery!

Hospital security has changed a little :) Sorry to hear about the reattachment and hope she's doing better.

My neighbor's gardner rang the doorbell a few minutes ago. He mostly speaks Spanish tho his English is pretty good. He had a repair order in hand from the dealer and for his 100% stock 2017, they wanted close to $5k to "fix an oil leak" and another $2k to "fix a coolant leak". Couple other notes including $85 for a cabin air filter, $60 for a license plate light bulb and a couple of other $100 items.

He might be a gardener but his truck is impeccably maintained. You could eat off of the engine bay--it is showroom clean except for some accumulation down at the base of the timing cover where you would expect oil to go if it was spilled during a change. Zero hint of a coolant leak. 50k miles.

I cannot believe they would write him for more than $6k without putting dye in the oil to confirm the leak first. I get it, he speaks mostly Spanish so the writer just kept pushing for "yes".

Well, I figure it was either that or Capitol, and I couldn't think of a reason why your neighbor would make a much longer drive to them over Stevens Creek.

It was her gardener and he lives closer to Capitol. But then Sunnyvale and Milpitas (where the fist fight between sales associates video was filmed)....
