No I dont think so. It's a small form factor meant to have a monitor sit on top of it - I don't even think it will fit a video card of the era that I have

Yes and no. I looked into it and you still need to do research to find what you need and I got about 10 minutes into that and said nope. I am not interested in figuring it out. Its no different than those who work on their own cars and those that take it to a shop.

It's far easier piecing together a PC

With that said, not everyone wants to build one so there's that

If you don't game often, no biggie

If you do, it's all about squeezing as much performance out of every dollar hence building your own is a far better value

I can 100% understand where you're coming from. I don't even disagree with your POV! But we do a lot more than OTS tunes for 3G's. We're versed in MoTeC M1, Haltech Elite, and other aftermarket EFI systems, though our primary focus and market is OE ECU calibration software solutions.

Those 4R mounts, dude keeps telling me I should offer them up as he really thinks they'll sell

Not everyone that owns a 4R has rusty lca mounts but we'll see, I'll make another set and offer them up otherwise no loss cause it's from left over from the bottle openers

I don't doubt your capabilities or what your company has to offer, my rant was geared more towards many of your customers

But hey, you're in the business to make money and anyone in the business will tell ya, profit is not a dirty word.

Use your skillset, give the people what they seek. But to go from an OTS tune to another is beyond mind boggling.

I was fortunate to learn to tune alongside those in the business back on the old Diablosport on the SRT4 platform. Helped a lot with other cars afterward.

Do you think current generations are more of the "stay in your own lane/expertise and pay for what you don't know/can't immediately do" mindset than those in the past, or about the same?

    Man...that's deep

I really try not to generalize much (even though I'm a hypocrite and just did regarding 3rd Genners lol)

I'd have to say both the same and different; I think the whole "pay for what you don't know/can't do" is dependent on that skillset or trade that's being offered.

    Welding? Sure, people pay.

Photography? Fuck, you'll have highschool kids using software to make themselves look like a pro.

Mechanical work? Just look at @Ozark_RegCab he's younger and takes his truck to a shop for everything

I don't know what do you think?

I only use it for FS and Photoshop. It gets plenty of use but not with a wide range of things. I just didn't care to figure out what each part and piece I needed. Its incredibly boring specs and rivals what I do for work so wasn't happening lol
Mostly. I will work on my Mercedes. I'll LS swap my Tacoma. I do all the work on my power stroke. But my Range Rover? Nope, that's a shop doing the work.
