Thanks but was asking of what I paid for my Tacoma, thought that was pretty clear, paid $40K OTD vs the Rivian I just built, even with a tax break it is $96K OTD, maybe another $2000 for a charger install in my area. So $98K when everything is said and done.

    Annnnnd go!

Just so that I’m sure, you want to compare your Tacoma to an 800hp, top-of-the line competitor with far more features and equipment?

Ok, if you want to do that, I’ve given you the template and you can do it yourself.

I’m too busy comparing my Tacoma to a TRX and wondering why the costs aren’t comparable.

    Bingo! We have a winner!

For OpeCity telling us how smart he is with maths, he is a little thick headed…

Since you’re someone who literally went and selected every box to drive the price of their hypothetical argument point through the roof, I’m going to stop engaging with you seriously on this point.

but your lifetime ownership cost for the rivian will be about $10k more to have an 800hp truck that in no way competes with your tacoma. There you go, there’s your personalized math for your disingenuous argument

Actually I didn’t. Went for the cheapest motors. Did the max battery since it the closest to the range I get with the Tacoma, still off by -65 miles. I run all terrains, could only get those with the adventure package.

Tried to get as close to my current setup as as possible for comparison sake. I could have added a bunch more accessories to really drive the cost up. Have a topper on my truck, don’t think there is one available for the Rivian.

Not sure why you’re having such a hard time with it.

Hybrids have more fires per 100K than EV's or ICE's. Which could be a concern for some considering the Hybrid Tacoma option.

Bureau of Transportation Statistics and the National Transportation Safety Board. The site found that hybrid vehicles had the most fires per 100,000 sales at 3474.5. There were 1529.9 fires per 100k for gas vehicles and just 25.1 fires per 100k sales for electric vehicles.

You didn’t choose the cheapest motors. The adventure dual motor max pack is $89k before credits. You made some other selections to drive things up further. And no 4wd Tacoma gets 400miles range, which the max pack does

did you pay for the topper on your current truck?

My Tacoma gets 400 range, actually have eked out 420 before, currently averaging 22.7/gal. Have done 24. Just have to drive it like there is egg under the pedal. Topper was $2000. No topper available for the Rivian so I omitted it, though probably could add the tonneau instead, that is $1800.

Max Pack looses range with the ATs.

Here is the break down, since my truck is MGM choose that color this time.

Sales tax is 6% in Idaho if that helps.

And my Truck. See why the comparison now? Rivian isn’t exactly apples to apples, but the only thing out there that is the closest. A Tesla isn’t a truck.

In this case, although I have some objections to the logic used, you’d be out $10k or so over the lifetime. The rivi an isn’t for you

You are doing your comparison wrong. You have to compare a Tesla 3 to a Porsche 911 because they are equals because they have similar 0-60 times or HP or some nonsense. :D

You get what is equivalent to over 600km to a tank? I don't believe that . Are you driving down hill both ways . Photos or it didn't happen

You have to drive like you have an egg under your foot, this is why it’s important to cross shop 533hp luxury vehicles
