Looks nice a nice beater. I can't tell if that's rust or dirt on the frame. I figured yall might deal with some rust down there with all the salty air.

I think this day was the most fun I've ever had in a vehicle. I'm gonna have to get Salt-Away so I can frolick in the snow this winter without any worry of scaling up my Texas frame.

I think it has a lot to do with how they were taught growing up. A lot of people these days seem to be afraid to explore and try new things, for a variety of reasons.

One of the ones I’ve noticed is that the workings of so much modern technology appears totally unapproachable from the outside, and so people don’t know where to start tinkering. The bottom rungs of the ladder aren’t exactly missing, but they’re often very hard to find.

For example. Back in the day electronics kits were mostly passives with a few transistors and people could reallly sink their teeth into the functions of each part. Nowadays the market is flooded with micros and modules and leds and shit that is basically magic parts that you slap together. Not impossible to understand at all, but a whole lot harder to get in depth with.

It gets worse even when cars and phones and most consumer tech - companies intentionally lock people out. Open up the circuit board and not only is it a bunch of ics, but the important ones are covered in epoxy.

In the same way that we’re struggling to find qualified tradesmen after pushing an entire generation to college, I wonder if we’ll be short engineers in the future because they didn’t have any opportunity to explore technology except for within someone’s walled garden.

Time to fly! Just be ready for some wind in the west of you're using live weather! Currently in 40knot winds over Montana, makes for some fun landings.
