    Long post:

I recently installed new wheel and tires on my taco fuel ammo 17x9 with 285/70 BFG Ko2. I installed them on the 1 inch wheel spacers I had from before and my tires rubbed so bad on the cab mount when making sharpish turns. I debated doing a bmc to keep the aggressive stance the wheels spacers gave me, so I sat on the decision for a couple days. In the meantime took a short weekend trip to salt lake to see some buddies. While driving around salt lake there was this rattle in the rear passenger side that I could not replicate it. I thought for sure something was messed up bad. It seemed to do it when the weight of the truck shifted (braking/ acceleration/ turning) but not every time. I got out of the truck multiple times to look under the chassis and still nothing. Anyway I drove back home with seemingly no problem and go to work today. When I get off I decide I’m going to remove the wheels spacers to alleviate the rubbing when I can’t find my lug key anywhere. Panicking I drove down to the auto store and bought a new one got the wheels and tires off with the wheel spacers and put the tires back on. When taking for a test drive to test for rubbing I heard the rattle again but this time it seemed louder but it sound like it was coming from under the seat in the rear. While driving I lifted up the under seat storage and started poking around only to find that my missing lug key had fallen down underneath where the jack mounts and behind the plastic. The rattling noise this whole time was my “missing” lug key rolling around on bare metal. I just wanted to share this incase any of y’all run into the same issue.

Glad you found the issue, this gave me a good chuckle.

Sometimes we just have to stop and remember to start with the simple stuff and go from there.

Such a great feeling of relief when you finally find the source.
