That's some good stuff! I really wish I could find Fortaleza. It's magnificent! You can't even find it in Mexico.

But I saw some Cimarron locally so I picked it up.

I am just glad I don’t have a fancy palate, cheap tequila works for me. I also prefer coors banquet over the fancy beers.

I hear that. Plenty of good inexpensive tequilas. I love Narragansett.

Runs around $35, not too bad IMO.

I’ll be on the lookout for this, my wife is a big tequila fan

When it comes to sipping tequila, I need these things:
    REGION: Jalisco (Los Valles),
    COOKING: Stone/Brick Ovens,
    EXTRACTION: Tahona,
    WATER SOURCE: Deep well water,
FERMENTATION: Wood fermentation tanks, 100% agave, Open-air fermentation
    STILL: Copper Pot

The old school way makes a big difference in taste vs the mass produced way. Believe it or not, the open air fermentation in wood tanks makes a difference in flavor as well. Traditionally, agave is grown for about 8 years before it's harvested, that's Fortaleza. Since tequila became popular, the mass produced stuff at least, they're only growing the agave about 1 year.

EDIT: That Cimarron is pretty good! Definitely hard to beat at the price for sipping. Probably use it in a margarita tomorrow and see how it compares to Pueblo Viejo.

Having said that, I was checking out a local cigar bar for lunch. Mainly because I know the bartender and he's awesome. He suggested the bourbon flight and just kept hooking me up. I've forgotten how good Eagle Rare is. And also tried Knob Creek 12. That was very good.
