I didn't think I had a problem with the factory fogs until I swapped them out. Just about anything good, is a substantial improvement over the oem ones.
Quick tip as I installed some last week - when a video shows you ripping apart your wheel wheel to access the back - literally just reach in through the top of the engine bay. there's plenty of room (in my experience).

I 2nd this. When I swapped stock for BD fogs in my 3rd gen, 5 or 6 years ago, I read all these posts of people removing grilles and fender liners. No need to do any of that. Just reach down and do it. I guess taking 5 minutes to pop out the grille might help but def not required.

I am very pleased with their performance, I had to go out in severe weather with debris covered roads on day 1 & illumination was better than expected. My OEM LED fogs did near nothing.

I took my grill off for install, takes about a minute (to remove grill) I prefer the ease of access.

I added the new TRD PRO snorkel "height feelers" kinda like back in the day we had white wall tires so you installed curb feelers so you wouldnt rub them.
This one checks height for entering mall garages3EE9A278-C9CB-4FB4-84BA-C082F5ECE6D4.jpg

It's your spotter. Good vantage point up on the snorkel, and in tight spots it can fly around and check your wheel position. Maybe better than a 360 cam.

Someone asked me about my custom knob doing that. Mine does not get hot, and I am in GA.
But on a cold winter's day, it's like a block of ice!
Can only speculate that maybe it's because it is iron and not aluminum. ??

    Dang ...that bed looks clean...

I use 303 in my entire bed once in a while but no matter what it always looks shabby ... I have a lot of marring and white scrapes and scratches in the finish... Especially near the wheel wells.

Looks good! I was debating either this one or the TRD one.

Last time I did this at Toyota those clowns just stuck more weights on top of the existing weights. They didn't even bother to remove the old weights and start over.

I had a stainless steel knob, it stayed pretty hot and cold for a lot longer than the aluminum one I have now. I personally like the weight of the aluminum as well.

Looks like they got it right on mine, started over, I got one big clump of Weights probably opposite the TPMS sensor.

Yeah, my brother has them installed on his 4Runner and a few of my friends do to and they’ve never had any issues. Made it through Monanche Meadows fine.
