I saw this sweet 2006 Peterbilt 379 at a car show last weekend!

@PennSilverTaco I used to work with a guy that hand built his own tractor truck like that but it was a smaller scale version, maybe like 50 or 60 percent.

 

Less than 100 miles to go until 177K!

I REALLY like this floorplan! You will notice that it has a decent-sized master bedroom with a walk-in closet, a kitchen with enough room for a dishwasher, a fireplace, washer/dryer on the main level, and even 2x6 exterior wall framing!

I would prefer to have one full bathroom and one half-bath at a minimum, but this plan does have a full basement that could easily be finished and fitted with a second full bathroom, so I'm still happy with it!

 

Absolutely beautiful exterior with a covered porch and a nice simple roofline!

 

Not bad at all.

 

Note that it actually has a sliding glass door instead of a single door, so this would be perfect for bringing in furniture, or opening on a nice day (I would go with one of those atrium/folding doors as opposed to a traditional slider)...

 

I would go with top-tier finishes and products throughout, including...

• Granite countertops in the kitchen and bathroom
• Stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, including a gas range with a self-cleaning convection oven (I prefer a vented hood to an over-the-range microwave, but the latter would be a better choice to make the most of the space)
• Hardwood floors on the entire main level except the bedrooms and bathroom (see below)
• Double-padded carpet in the bedrooms
• Tile in the bathroom and laundry closet
• Trane XV20i air-conditioner with 95% efficient gas furnace or Trane XV20i heat pump with variable-speed Hyperion air handler, depending on whether or not gas is available (I would really prefer NOT to have oil heat)
• Partially finished basement with 4th bedroom and 2nd bathroom
• Possible second fireplace in basement
• Detached 2-car garage or possibly a gargae/workshop/guesthouse

 

I just think that a 3-car garage would be overkill for this place, so I'm thinking something like this...?

The other day, we were talking on the phone, and I asked if which of two brands you would prefer if you were buying "professional" kitchen appliances; I asked if you would pick Viking or Wolf, and you said you would pick Viking. Why is that? Viking built the first professional range for residential use back in 1987, but I don't think that there is much difference in quality between Viking and Wolf...

 

Actually, I'd do this one and finish the basement to make the perfect start home, which I would later rent out when I upgraded to something bigger...
