If I pay 900 for that truck I can’t lose right ? My main concern is that frame horn. I’d need to put a bumper on it.

I'd do it, that's the first normal looking truck I've seen in Hawaii, basically a unicorn

I'm gonna buy a bumper and figure a way to mount it, then new tail lights and re list it for 5 grand.

I need to pull the core support out a bit.

do you weld? You could cut the frame horn back to 95-97 length, cap it, and run that year of bumper just fine

98-00 are the only years that have the frame horns that stick out past the core support. The other years are capped flush with the face of the body mount and just have a captured nut on the end that the crash bar mounts to on both sides

Since when was your boy a hack :luvya:

All part of the learning curve

Unfortunately they'll require some work; my damn table is cutting a little wonky again with some beveling

May have to disassemble a little and square it up again

Is the table itself leveled well?

It's probably not completely level at the moment, but being out of square (deflection comes into play since the gantry tube hangs over the table) is more likely the culprit

Y axis is completely square but I never was thorough about my X axis and it shows as most pieces are beveled in the same general area

Nothing a belt sander can't take care of as long as I'm steady in knocking it down flat

That's great to hear! Makes flying much more enjoyable. Once you learn the autopilot setups it helps a ton too. Some planes take quite a bit of learning the systems just to get them up and running which I enjoy. The A310 is a bear but pretty much the only jet liner I fly because of it.

I helped align a whole bunch of cncs when I worked at the machine shop and it's pretty critical you get them level in the space they stay in because otherwise they can be out of square or ill supported and they'll gradually sag to out of square even if they're not immediately.

I bet those tables were much better supported too

Yeah my table needs bars between the legs at the bottom but you're right, definitely have to be on level ground
