I would love to have a CB500X, they're just a bit pricey even used right now. This 2022 X300 is listed at $4500

 

Used ones can be found in that range. Purely if you need a little more highway, as the versys 300 is going to be very similar in other aspects.

 

I would want a 2019 and newer(for the 19" front wheel). Most are in the $6.5 range. At that point, I'd drive up to Chatanooga and buy a new one from Southern Honda Powersports. They don't have any dealer markup. I have spoken with them about a XR150L and they wanted $3271 for it(MSRP $2971 before shipping/freight). I also can't really afford/rationalize speeding 7K on one when I already have a bike I enjoy

 

Yeah, I'm new to new bikes and the whole "way over msrp because of fees" kinda pisses me off. Only did it because I had the equity in my SxS and was still getting a couple grand along with the title. Can't say I blame you not wanting to take the hit, but 4-6K used on a bike that'll last is a solid option, IMO. If you find an older one that got rally raided it'd be better than a 2019+.

 

I have only seen 1 around here that had the Rally Raid treatment. I believe it was one of the first kits sold.

That one I'm kinda sad about. For the money, I think I'd go for a new V-strom.

The TA is a bigger CB500X, even the same headlight, but they rounded off all the edges. Not quite the graceful lines of the AT and not as sharp and childish as the CB. A weird mix of both. It might ride sweet though.

 

I do like the new 800 Suzuki. I think a high fender kit will really help the TA.

I just need to win the lotto....that way I could buy all of them and just ride whatever hits me that day

Someone painted this thing white and I want it…

 

Getting closer! Sides are done and tie downs are done! The front 2x4s that are sticking up will be cut off and re done that was a temp solution to test to see if it would work.

things to finish:
Tires
Wheel bearings
Fenders
Paint the sides
Dad wants to paint the wheels uggggh…

Future things:
Dove tail with a small built in ramp
Small rack on the front for a rtt on the trailer
Side marker lighting

 

Looks like there is plenty of room to fit 1 or 2 more bikes in there!

 

Yuuup the plan is to fit my buddy’s goldwing for Colorado next month and then just for well every thing use lol I don’t see it being used loads but it will be great to have around! Hell just loading the bike took less then 5mins so way better then the hitch carrier
