    Hello Folks, I'm Bill. Mechanicsville, Virginia. I go by Bill400, same as on the Jaguar Forums to keep things simple. I've participated on JF for about 10 years. And I'm a pretty decent "shade-tree" mechanic. I've restored X-Types and XKs of the Premier Automotive Group era.
    This is my 3rd Toyota truck. The '85 and '98 are long gone, though my grandsons have the '98 down on the NC farm. My low mileage Sienna XLE (multi-purpose vehicle) is currently ferrying three granddaughters in car-seats. Thus, the new truck.
    I found this forum while looking for information related to my Tacoma project: adding OEM Blind Spot monitoring, also known as "technology package".
    Looking for a V6/Long Bed truck with BSM (that means SR5 or better), I found a stunning Barcellona Red Metalic with Advanced Technology (AT) (sonar for parking) rather than (T) BSM.
    Since AT includes the network gateway, I thought BSM should be doable.
    Thanks to this forum's members, I've found wiring and shop manual, so I'm well on the way to that OEM retro fit.
    I'll be reading 3rd gen posts and document the process when appropriate. Until then, thanks for sharing your experience on this forum.
    PS: I may consider lowering the truck about 2 inches. They sure have gotten tall!

    Thanks guys. I know forum ribbing when I see it! I appreciate the warm welcome.

    Bought a couple days of TIS and downloaded wiring diagrams, connectors and service manual info related to Blind Spot Monitoring for my retrofit.

    My chinese friends provided an inexpensive vehicle interface device and virus-laden software for TS V17, so the fun has begun.
