I'm liking that 3DK. Nice modified tanto point...

It’s one of those designs people either love or hate. They make a larger 6” tanto called amuk but the MultipleAnimalKnife and Fuukko are much more traditional shapes. Their house brand is pretty slick. I like to sharpen my stuff but the lifetime warranty and free sharpening are nice.
I’m a sucker for natural material handles on my users. They do moose or caribou antler and whale or walrus jaw bone along with the mammoth stuff and they are all gorgeous.

Sorry I’ll quit pimping their stuff now

Been here two weeks, and I finally feel like I've found my people.

Here are a few of my favorite folders and edc pieces:
    IMG_0647.jpg
The PM2 is a tried-and-true, but I've been partial to the Spartan Harsey Warthog lately.

    IMG_0648.jpg
I generally only buy American-made (or at the very least not China-made), but there are a few exceptions here. That Reate (left, second down) is incredibly cool.

    IMG_0649.jpg
The Zero Tolerance Hinderer design is one of my go-to's, and while I have two CRK Sebenza's (I bought the second because I wanted on in Magnacut), the Inkosi sees way more pocket time.

I don't have as many fixed blades:
    IMG_0650.jpg
That little Magnacut Bradford is probably my busiest fixed, but those little CRKT's have their place.

    IMG_0651.jpg
    Couple Italians in there

    IMG_0652.jpg
ESEE makes a darn good knife.

    IMG_0653.jpg
This FOBOS (For Operators By Operators) is far and away my favorite fixed. Highly recommended!

This is maybe 20% of my total collection. I have dozens of Benchmades, even more Spydercos, and way too much Made-in-China stuff, but since buying this Tacoma I've eased off the sharp and pointy. Will probably start selling some off eventually, but in no hurry. Don't let my wife see these...

This news really bothered me. I'm a huge Ontario fanboy and have been trying to get at least one example of every one of their models. Started that project a few weeks ago before the news broke. I take it that'll be a lot harder now.

Check out the Ontario Carter Primed and 2quared. Wild, ultra-thick designs with full titanium handles. Things are crazy and totally out of their wheelhouse. Not even sure how they got made, but I love 'em.

Not a huge accumulation, but it spans about 50 years. I don't specifically collect knives, they just seem to hang around over time.

Thanks, and yes it is authentic. I have a folder full of papers that came with the dagger when I got it, that are meal cards, ID's, permits to be on Reich property, and the original owner's application to join the SA, plus some other stuff. All in the ornate German script with Nazi stamps on everything. I got the whole thing from a friend who was a 1st SF NCO stationed in Germany during the late 1980's. He had rented a house off base, rather than having his family in base housing. While cleaning out a room in the basement to store some of their belongings, he came upon the whole shebang in a drawer of a wardrobe. He was going to give it back to the house's owner, who told him to get rid of it, he didn't want to see it again. Turns out it had belonged to his grandfather; I guess that's not something you'd want to remember about a relative, and it's illegal in Germany to possess Nazi paraphernalia or display a Swastika. My friend had kept it all these years, but was moving off-grid to Alaska, and didn't want it any more.

The dagger was dirty when I got it, but cleaned up fairly well. the scabbard has some corrosion in the anodized finish but the leather strap is in good condition and the dagger itself is well above average with some minor scratches on the blade.

Amazing story! Thanks for sharing! All I’ve got is a rusty old sawback bayonet for a mauser that my uncle used through the 70s for cutting firewood while camping… lol
My grandpa brought it back with him after the war and my dad had to take it from his brother after seeing him use it for the first time.

Finally arranged the folders to fit some that had been in the edc rotation. A lot of sentimental value attached to some of them as they are inherited or gifted from friends and family who are no longer with us.

Wanted a new edc so added my first benchmade into my collection, a mini bugout. I’m amazed at how light it is compared to the spyderco I had been carrying.

That's pretty cool that you have the provenance for the SA dagger with all the paperwork. In my teenage years, I managed a website for a guy that sold WWII militaria, mostly german. I photographed hundreds or probably thousands of daggers from every branch of the German military and rarely was there any documentation to go along with it.

Any makers mark on it? A handful of them are still around today. Eickhorn, alcoso, and j.a. henckels I think are still making blades.

Recognizing that this was a very dark time in human history, I have to say that Germany produced some truly impressive, artistic blades during WWII.

The scenes on their forestry and hunting cutlasses were etched with highly detailed scenes with deer and boars set in forest scenes. Navy swords were etched with intricate scenes of ships with floral borders and gold lettering. And the Damascus...the germans made some beautiful damascus blades...I handled some gorgeous stuff over the years, including some prototype daggers that were never released for production.

Coolest thing that went through my hands was the uniform and hat that Herman goring was captured in. He was the leader of the luftwaffe or German Air force I think at the time.

I have never seen anything like this in the thousands of German blades that I have handled. Would love to know the history if you're willing to share here or through PM

Here's a couple of pics showing the dagger and scabbard more clearly, and one of the Makers Mark. It is Eickhorn. There's also a smattering of some of the paperwork that came with it.

As for the knife ETAV8R posted, the little I know about it is it was issued to the Waffen SS Alpine Troops (Gebirgsjager). The inscription on the blade reads "My Honor Means Loyalty" and was also the inscription used on the SS dagger which is similar to my SA dagger. Blades from the SS are much more rare and valuable than my SA dagger.
