I saw two 3G Tundras on the way to work with aftermarket wheels, one was lifted. That's the Tundras I noticed.

    Edit
Always see lots of Tacomas, there must be a dozen F series trucks on my street, not long ago a saw two black TRD Pro 4Runners one in front of the other.

They still build the T4R though, and the TRDOR T4R is effectively an FJ with 4 inches more wheelbase. Rear locker, ATRAC, etc.

I did a similar observation on my commute to and from work last week. I actually paid close attention for once but I wasn't counting... I was looking for 3rd gen colors... I happened to see ALL colors offered on the 3rd gen except the Lime Green simply on my commute. I could have had that color had I swung over by the local Toyota dealer but the point wasn't to go out of my way! I know one near me as well but I didn't happen to see it this particular day! It was also interesting in the fact that I pretty much saw every trim level and use you could imagine. The local Terminix truck that is as bare bones as possible up through the local Extreme Mall Crawler. One was towing a good sized travel Trailer and one was definitely loaded to near capacity in the bed. It was an interesting reminder just how customizable these trucks are and how you can tune them in to your particular needs!

There's a few running around here, but my area is dominated by domestic full sized. Everyone still has that 'Merica attitude

Same here. There are some Tacomas around here, but most are still driving fords, chevys, and rams.

What is funny is, the Ridgeline and Tundra are more 'Merica than the Ranger and F150 - according to the cars.com American made index.

May parents drove Subarus from the late 70s until the early 2000s when they switch to Toyota.

My teenage self tried desperately to talk my dad into buying an SVX but he never would. He wouldn't buy a Brat either- and I would still love one of those. That little boxer engine was dead reliable.

Most of the Access cabs here are pest control companies.

I had an FJ between Tacomas. Loved it, but a little cartoony-plastic looking, vs say, a Jeep or Bronco or even a mechanically identical 4R.

What impresses me most about Tacoma is that after eight years and 2mil sold the design has held up remarkably well, so much so that the competition still copies it. Heck even Gen4 copies it. Maybe more impressive is that whether it’s an SR, TRD Pro, access or crew, they all still look pretty handsome. That’s good design.

My uncle had a Brat and I remember riding around in the bed as a kid.

I remember it had plastic rear facing bucket seats bolted to the floor of the bed. My brother and I would hang on for dear life as my uncle raced around the neighborhood.

How I survived my youth, I’ll never know.

There’s three Tacoma’s, a Tundra and a 4Runner in my apt complex lot. The complex has 8 units.

The seats in bed is why I always wanted one. Plus, I always thought they looked very cool. Sort of like a Japanese El Camino.

Not many long beds with 4 doors like mine so in a small way, mine's different.
