I'm glad the "Hurricane" turned out to be nothing more than a Tropical storm. My culverts maxed out but never crested the driveway but it was close!
I was more worried about the rain getting all the trees wet and then the wind coming in to push them over. I guess the saving grace was the fact that the ground wasn't wet enough to soften up the root base in order for that to happen, and the wind was not too bad. There were a few big gusts but at least I didn't sustain too much damage over here.

    Hope everyone else faired well!

I hope all goes well for you my friend! I have several friends that have gone through it and they are all doing great after the fact. The odd thing to me is that there is no rhyme or reason that stands out to me as to why they were even affected in the first place! Some are in amazing shape and eat super clean, work out, etc...and others did whatever and took no precautions to be healthy whatsoever.

That being said, all 6 of them are doing great now after going through Chemo.

If you ever need anything just let us know buddy!! I know how difficult that can be.
Just don't forget you have people here you can count on if needed.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 Acute Myeloid Leukemia in September of 2014. Went thru 7 months of chemo and 12 straight days of radiation at the end. For me personally it wasn’t all that bad. I consider myself lucky in that department….though the doctors insisted that I have an unusually high pain tolerance. I told them i’m not a pussy. That seemed to anger my wife but a positive attitude is everything.
Seriously though around 4-7 days after a round of chemo you will have no immune system if I remember right it’s called neutropenic and it last about a week or so…. Absolutely limit who gets anywhere near you even if they are wearing masks and gloves. The key is to never get catch any bugs while you are neutropenic. Try to stay as healthy as possible during chemo. I swear the fact that I kept people away from me was key. I only let my kids stand at the doorway to my room and talk to me when I was at home.
Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions. You will get thru this!

Likewise, we have not met. We'll meet up for sure, my wife works from home but gets an occasional trip to the main office in Carlsbad which works out great for restocking the Cardiff Crack.

And now I’ve seen it twice like that. Maybe not as bad but it’s closed and will be for a while.
