How is everyone making the switch to these?

I called Discount, they can’t get them
Walmart sells them but install is not included
    Odd considering installs usually are.

Because of this im thinking of getting my hands on them first
Then taking to Costco for install as I trust them more

Pretty strange. I found them the cheapest at walmart. Then went to discount to have them
Mounted. Guy told me he could have ordered them for me. Even bought the certificates off them.

Costco has some weird rules about larger tires, so I'd be careful about that. I bought mine from Walmart and had them shipped to a Walmart tire center(free), then had them installed at a discount tire.

Edit: i ordered them months before I installed them as they were in sale and I hadn't made the supporting mods to fit them before they arrived. They smelled good in my garage.

Bought mine off Amazon for $248 and free shipping. Took them to Discount Tire and had them mounted. Looks like Amazon has 16 in stock right now.

    So

Costco states $20/tire with balance and rotates but not road hazard
Might only apply to car tires if they’re weak

giga tires $225 with ridiculous $200-300 shipping for a set

fucked up and placed $50 deposit to secure a set from local distributor at $250/tire plus tax

some dude at Discount on the phone claimed Kenda is not a thing.

so I walk into a different discount I just so happened to be passing by to ask for shits and giggles.
Guy turns the screen talking about we get these for $204 each

alright boss so what’s it cost after tax install road hazard rotate and balance subscription

    like $1300

bruh how does it go from $816 to $1300

im boutta apply to discount tire
    Get hired
    Buy the set
    And leave

I worked in a car dealership parts department since 2006. I got my tires $2 over cost, parts cheap, oil changes almost free. It's one of those jobs that save you thousands of dollars over the years.

Tons of fun, @Discount Tire! Actually, I was going to PM you a question: Since I know that some tire shops refuse to do it on vehicle equipped with TPMS, are the Discount/America's Tire shops good to go on installing tires without TPMS? I blew a valve stem on my rear passenger, and have an emergency replacement stem installed with the TPMS bouncing around in there, and want to just save myself the hassle, pull all the TPMS out, and just use simple, easily replaceable rubber stems (since I can just carry a pack of them and puller/install tool in my toolbox).

@essjay thank you for the inquiry. Discount Tire can not disarm or disconnect a safety feature on a vehicle. If a TPMS system is functioning when you arrive, it has to leave functioning for your safety. However, very old vehicles that have a TPMS light on when they arrive because they have 4 bad sensors, we will not force a customer to buy sensors, we would simply advise but still service the vehicle. I hope this answers your question.

    KO2s in a 37. I drive a tundra, just want 1 size up from a 35” and not a true 37”.

Sorry they are on my truck now. But I'd consider taking them off to go to 37s...they have 60 miles on them.

Edit: Love them too much haha. Keeping them!
