Good Morning Porch Folks :hattip:. Have a great Wednesday and be safe out there.

Looking on YouTube at some of the old commercials, we sure have changed with good service. One I always liked was the "You can trust your car to the man who wears the star" Texaco comercial.

    Times have changed

Watching tree removal crews is amazing Tom. They can take a big tree down in a couple of hours without it hitting the house, shed or power lines. When I had my 30 foot ash taken down in front of the house, it was a father and son and 3 hours they were done. Just needed to get the guy out to grind the stump.
Good luck at the eye doctors.

Too bad we cannot post videos, but I get why we cannot. My neighbor took two time laps videos of the work yesterday. The eye appointment discovered a small clouding of the membrane that holds the cataract in place. I have another appointment in September to have the main doctor look at it.

The stump is ground down and they are working on the tree i20230823_104917.jpg 20230823_104945.jpg 20230823_101311.jpg n the front yard.

OK, spent too much time cleaning up the August pic file to play with the little video of the belt working yesterday. Needed my sons advice to find out I had to edit them together into one, in order to YouTube it.

So, here is the silver banded belt running after install. Like I said, all the pulleys and idler rotate freely and quietly, I marked them all to see them actually rotate, the AC clutch is also marked, and was run engaged and not, all 7 grooves in the belt line up, and stay there, and as far as tension, it takes my big breaker bar to move it, and when released, you can't even make a dent in the belt.

    https://youtu.be/GkmTcm_0skU

I've checked and checked the belt diagram. It's properly over, under, sideways, down!

No startup (starter) noise either today, and I seem to have (what little) power back I was feeling I lost since the plug change. Little voltmeter in the old cig lighter was steadily up a tad too.

Bet I will be popping that hood at least once a week for a while though! o_O

I'm going to watch them take down my trees in a week or so.... 1 - ~ 80', 3 trunk tree about 6' from my a corner of my house; 1 ~ 70' 2 trunk tree that is about 4' from my house (and about 10' from the 80' tree) and a third tree that should be fairly easy. I was at work when I had the other trees taken down years ago.

 I will keep that in mind for after I have my trees dropped.

    evening gentlemen

    Evening Sue.
They are big trees Sue. I would love to watch them do it because of the proximity to your house and closeness to each other. Keep us posted with some pictures if you can.

Kurt: The crew was terrific and did a fantastic job. This September we are going to clean out the holes of wood chips and fill them up with soil and plant grass seed.

Good morning: Let me ask you if you feel a $20 tip per crew member, of the tree removal crew, was appropriate and the amount was too little. Today is shopping day at Harrisa Teeter and Costco.

Yesterday went fairly well at the eye docs. Looking forward to a September appointment. Off to the gym in a few.

The weather in most of the states is brutal. We had a low 80's day yesterday and to be repeated today. I will take it for any day in August.

    Good morning everyone!

Mark .I hope you get power back soon.

Feeling my age today, almost a year without any real physical labor, I'm feeling it today. I only got 1 door in yesterday, took forever, partially because I had gotten a out of date can of expanded foam and forgotten to check toss my air compressor in my truck, so 2 extra trips not needed. I had that rotator cuff surgery in February and the tear in October that slowed me up some. I got the other going in today.
