Man, been nerding out watching video reviews...specifically from actual pilots that play sims giving their input on the throttles I'm looking at

Yea. My guess is we were his contingency plan if the house deal in the works wasn't to his liking.

We only signed the lease 6 days ago, fucker had to have already had that shit in the works and neglected to tell us.

I mean, I kind of get it but that's just fucked up

Unless the house sat up in the market for a looong time and he finally had what seemed like a legit buyer

Still, should've never even contracted with you guys much less even advertise it for rent

I haven't, but I've been thoroughly enjoying the Bush Trips of all things

Taking off from and landing in grass fields, water, etc.

Yeah those are great. They do a good job of letting you get to see some pretty epic terrain and landmarks that you almost otherwise wouldn't come across. The Patagonia one was pretty damn good. I haven't don't any of the water ones yet.

I really liked the beaver trips in Seattle for Kenmore air. I wish they had made it a whole series as I would enjoy cranking out a bunch of flights with that setup/structure.

I think there is something called flight sim economy which is a different approach to the game where you get flights including fares, cargo, etc with defined routes. I need to look at it more to understand how the money works and what the benefits are.

I'll have to look those up; flying a small yet nimble plane in itself is fun. Especially one that is so susceptible to factors like updrafts and more.

I never even heard of the Flight Sim economy but that sounds legit AF especially for those that enjoy the full sim experience. I remember some years ago I used to watch clips of this guy who was an ATC and he did acted as such in-game too; real funny shit actually. I'll see if I can find it.

While I do that, what do you find yourself flying most?

Huh not my usual genre but been forever since I've seen Paul Wall in anything so I had to click play. Was surprised even more to hear Spokane mentioned. Main dude has an interesting style.

There are folks that play the game as an ATC. My understanding is some of the main airports you can run into folks in full sim mode. I'm not sure how that works though, I assume it's a mas group chat that's organized.

I found in the settings that I didn't have the turbulence turned to realistic, so yesterday was a lot bumpier over the mountains! Between that and yesterdays update it seemed like the game was working a lot better.

I enjoy a lot of the dlc planes I've gotten. If I'm really wanting to go slow and short flights, usually doing a lot of take offs and landings, I find the C152 an absolute treat. Small, nimble and forgiving. Stepping up from that I bought the V35B beechcraft. Its an older version of the bonanza without the glass cockpit so it's more analog with good speed and beautiful with its v-tail. Stepping up from that the C208 caravan is a peach, I like the size and it is easy to fly. I also have the dlc Quest Kodiak 100. Its actually built here in Idaho under Daher aircraft now. That one's a bit smaller and a bit more technical to fly, feels lighter by a larger margin but is great for STOL strips in the middle of no where. Jumping up from that is the DC3. Its an old workhouse with old school autopilot which is fun and challenging to fly. Big ol brute. There is a modernized version in the game but I flew it only once. In the same class is the twin otter as a fun plane with some extreme STOL capabilities but last I saw it was pulled from the marketplace. Any bigger and I'll fly the A310 as it's a challenge. I wish they would update the other jet liners in the game to the same level of complexity but I also understand why the don't - accessibility. Finally the Anotonov AN-225 is a beast to fly, belches smoke from its 6engines but everything is in Ukrainian so I have yet to figure out it's start up procedure.

Other planes worth noting are the old Ford Trimotor. Old school flying, sounds awesome and is a peak into the early days of aviation. I just picked up the Beechcraft model 18 and need more seat time to know how I feel. Thing has plenty of power, not sure if I like the audio yet and the autopilot was a bit clunky. Then the dehavilland beaver is always a good bet, thirsty bird that you have to pay attention to your fuel tanks but an icon, for a reason.

Sorry for the essay... You asked....
