I had several trees removed a while back. Three pines, over 100 feet tall, and several smaller trees. An expensive operation. Did not think to get any pix, tho. Cut down several smaller trees, myself, for firewood. Still have more to think about.

Having my first cup of coffee, with the patio door open and the neighbor kid is outside laying in the dew wet grass throwing a tantrum because he doesn't want to go to school, it reminded me it was the first day of school. He's still going at it , after he was gotten in their garage. I don't miss those days , we adopted a son with fetal alcohol affect. Not saying this is the neighbors problem, but I related.

    Morning Mark.

    Morning Bill

Morning Mark. Glad the generator is running. Hope the power comes back soon

Morning Tom. $20 tip per crew member seems reasonable Tom. They probably don't get a tip from most jobs. I am sure they appreciate the tip regardless of the amount :).

Morning Rob :hattip:. Have a good one and enjoy your "Friday" :D

Hi Murray, Slow and steady wins the race they say. At this age thats about all I can muster but when the job is done it's worth it. Take it easy on the shoulder.

    Morning Azreb :hattip:.

Thanks, Ken it was slow the first guy had used 16 or 20 common galvanized finish nails I ended up cutting off I hadn't seen those used in this new of build, 20 years old, the wood frames were gone. Sills no longer attached to the jambs back then most builders were using framing guns to install. The brickmold was coming off between those nails.

Sounds like a major mess you had to deal with Murray. I always had a Sawzall to cut the jobs out and just left the old nails in the framing. Let the next guy worry about them :D.

Thanks for tipping. It seems to be a lost art lately. $20 will buy them a good lunch somewhere, maybe two if they are frugal. Tipping is a great tool to show people they did something you appreciate.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue! Well, hot enough to mow again! I got that nap right after lunch @Tacoma Mike - AC in my room wasn't turned down when I was working, must have gotten hotter than I thought, because I was soaked. Finished my sandwich, and everyone in the break room started echoing, and I got kind of dizzy. I think I said I was leaving.... Got home, and was asleep in my chair for 2 hours, got a drink of water, and 2 hours more. It was a sneak attack.

I don't get paid by the hour for mowing! Slow to start, and it was already 100*. Nothing else had to get done, so who cares how long it takes? I was done before it hit 104*!

Speaking of which, our birds have been scrubbed for the Houston show, @Lurkin . Supposed to be 110* on the tarmac at opening 10 AM, Rod. Don't know if the show is cancelled, but no one wants to get in a hot, old metal tube in those temps. Check locally if you were still interested.

I am sure you give more than you take, when our tax dollars are in the mix. ;)

TY for the tip responses. Sometimes things go right over my head and my wife had to remind me to go and get tip money.

Good morning. Going to make some pasta sauce with turkey meatballs today. Should keep me busy for a few hours. ;):D

Remember to get your errands completed today before the weekend is you can do them.

    Good Morning all!
    More rain here.
Clamming beds have been shut down for almost 2 weeks due to all the rain and runoff and today's rain will only extend the closure.
Freezer is well stocked but would like to get a few more for the road.
Glad we went out the day before the shutdown.

Good Morning Porch Folks. Raining this morning but the only thing I have to worry about is going to my daughter's to let the dogs out while they are enjoying the, rainy overcast humid Jersey Shpre for the weekend.
Have a good day and stay dry all.

We had to have a tree service take a big tree down near the house. The service came out and looked, did some magic and said that the tree needed to come down soon. They squeezed us in the following morning, seeing inside of that tree, They were right, rotten through and through.
Paid the company with a card and all the workers with cash I go while these guys were working. As an aside, it was impressive to watch.
