I feel your pain. I had Lily for almost 15 years. Whenever I was home, she was there with me. Most times I didn’t even realize that she’d come and laid on my lap or crawled under the covers on a cold winter night.

Or first Siamese Max made it until 16 as well. She was the reason I fell in love with the breed. Turns out she was 1 of a kind and no matter the breed they can be you best buddies or little assholes.

So true ! I’ve had 3 cats all different breeds and didn’t realize how fortunate I was with my first 2. My 3rd Misty a Tabby has an attitude like no other. She was so bad I was leaving for work early in the morning to get away from her lol.On a daily basis I thought about taking her back to the rescue center were I got her but I couldn’t do it as she does have a sweet side to her and I love her:) She is a year and 5 months now and chilling out a little. But she was also a chewer chewing all my chrome faucets everyone has teeth marks all over them. Chewed all my computer cables twice when I forget to unplug everything one night. My record player power cord twice and my wireless charger for my phone multiple times and the list goes on. I told my friends I should have named her piranha lol. Here she is knowing we’re she should not be just staring at me after chewing up the second power cord the night before lol. I’ve been told to get another but I’m to afraid I’d end up with another like her lol. She really is a sweet heart but man she’s a little diva too !!!

Misty and her loving side :)
Every morning faithfully she goes to her same spot and watches me brush my teeth and get ready for work before she sees me off to work.

Any Main Coon companions on board? I’ll be getting a male kitten at some point soon from a reputable breeder and due to certain limitations will only be able to have one cat for the next cpl of years or so. I plan on giving it lots of attention whenever I’m home and having lots of toys and puzzles available for him to play with while I’m at work but I do worry that it may be too lonely for him, if I’m gone say 10 maybe 11 hours out of the day.
If circumstances would allow I would get two but it’s just not in the cards right now.
What do y’all think, anyone have a single Main Coon, and leave it home alone for a good part of the day. Any thoughts or advice on the matter? Is it a bad idea, detrimental to its mental health? I know that as far as cats go Main Coons are extremely dependent on human or another cat’s love, attention and interaction, similar to a dog, which I why I want one!
    Thanks!

We have a dwarf, and she chews on strings and stuff like that. We have to be very careful to put laces inside shoes and not leave anything like that around or she will eat it. One such episode cost us $4500.00. So word to the wise.
