I always have gloves and long sleeves eye and ear protection when I pickup a grinder.

I have also learn to shoot the sparks in a safe direction .

I’ve successfully positioned myself to not have any lawn cutting duties the weekend. Might just pick up a book

It's been in the upper 90s to low 100s for a little over a week . Today I woke to the sounds of thunder and rain.. nice little cool down. Let's get thru to the weekend friends

 

Due to the dip in the jet stream, we’ve had fall like conditions up here. Highs in the mid 70s and up to today, partly cloudy.

No doubt the jet stream is pushing and holding the heat in the Mid west.

I remember frost this time of year before Labor day.

 

Same here, it almost seems like the seasons have shifted. Around here we have been getting snow well into may, then 70 degrees well into November. Everything is running late haha

 

I never said I was a smart man.... It was 95 and sweating so bad I tied shop wrags around my head to keep the sweat out of my eyes. I have prescription safety glasses though, though for grinding, the welding hood on grinder setting was better and on my head. I should probably wear ear pro if not for sound, at least to keep the grit out of my ears.

 

In my case I think it is just a habit after years in the field.

Do something dumb it might get you a few days off or gone from the job.

I can not weld without ear plugs I just can not focus .

If I walk out into the shop other then to look for something earplugs and glasses are just a habit.

Well went and got a smoker project, like I need another project. It had the shelves in it the one we use at a buddies home on the river that I’m copying

 

Nothing a c-clamp then a pry bar couldn’t fix, good enough
