Hey guys so here is my problem. Yesterday I installed my elite plate bumper with an xrc8 which added ~150lbs minus the crap I took off. But now I have rubbing on the rear of the front fenderwell because the front dropped down from weight. I have a toytec 3" spacer in front and just wondering what your guy's thoughts would be on how to lift it back to 3". Coilovers? New shocks same spring? I'm kinda on a budget so I don't have a grand to spend but could spend around $500

Thanks in advance for your imput... Oh and its a 97 ex cab 3.4l if it matters.

a spacer?? :puke: but the best front and rear lift kit for the money is OME or eibach springs with 5100's both are 3" suspension lifts

Cant seem to find the OME 886 for my 97. Also what shocks are being run in these or in the eibach's? I did find that the 884, and 885 all have the spacer kit you can add on to them... will this give me a taller stance or will new shock accomplish this also? I want to still have three inch lift with bumper and winch. One more question... will adding these different springs rub on my 33/12.5 toyo M/T's causing me to have to get new UCA's also?

    Look at build!

OME's are not made to fit the Billies but some have done it, the eibachs were made for them, and i believe on the 1st gens w/ the added weight they need to be set at 1.5 w/ the eibachs and it should be around 3".

The OME 886 are teh heave duty coils for added weight but will go along better with OME shocks, and the top plate spacer can be added to achieve the full 3" but not sure if thats with the 886's or 884's.

I have the 5100's and eibachs at 0" and gained 3 1/4" of lift w/ no bumper and i paid right at 325 shipped for the billies and coils.

Ok thanks for your thoughts. any problems with tire rub on the spring itself with either of the OME or eibach's?

Simply replacing coils and shocks will not move the inside surface of your tire closer to the coil spring or UCA.

i'm running my billy 5100's at 0 with the OME 882's and you def. get the 3" of lift with your bumper on.

I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
I'm running 5100's and Eibachs set a 0 and got over 3" of lift my Elite bumper is not done yet :( so I can't tell you if you would rub but I do know the 620lb spring rate of the Eibachs should hold up your truck no problem.

    Now :worthless:

I didnt think so but some websites say that you can only run 265's with some of their kits... not sure why my only thought was tire rub.
