Was it one of those deals where as soon as you open it up a bunch of parts fall out? Now I'm having flashbacks to fishing reel repair.

Worse. The first step was easy, every progressive step got steadily worse, but appeared to be doable. The final step is removing the old wires and soldering on new ones, but the old solder joints are covered with hot glue or some kind of silicone sealer that’s damned near impossible to remove. On top of that, there are a couple of IC boards that are about 1/32” from the solder joints in question.

oh… and it’s that angry time of the month from…. Oh never mind.

I used to work at an electronics manufacturing company and I can probably still fumble my way through soldering some small parts. Definitely no cake walk fixing some of this new stuff and DJI seems to pack as much in a small space as any other company. That sealer stuff is probably a mastic and yeah it's a biotch to remove. If you can, carefully pick off as much as you can mechanically remove. Then try a mix of 50/50 isopropyl 90 and acetone and see if it dissolves the remainder. If not, it may be silicone based in which case your options get more nuclear by the minute.

Alternatively, and this is going to sound kinda silly, but you can check eBay and buy a complete replacement drone minus the controller for sometimes cheaper than you can fix one. And then you have a spare parts set if anything goes wrong in the future. I'd give the fixes a run first but your sanity might be worth the price later. Good luck!

Edit: Ooooh I spy an Osmo gimbal in that pile of chaos, nice!

It would appear that you have a bit of a problem. The solution to this problem is,,,

Install a new suspension on your truck.
It won't help you drone problem but your truck will thank you.

I’d definitely consider it, it’s hilarious overkill but fun to still take out. I’ve neglected it badly this year for wheeling since I took the second gen out west instead of our usual hardcore week long wheeling trip down south

Well... not sure. I am guessing you could go play with 4.88's Hell if you come to Bayfield you'll see me playing on 3.73's. Lots of people try, and then... go home. You are probably right-I know my wife would know for sure. I "go big" on being wrong a lot. In fact, this tire purchase might fall in there yet. But, as it stands. Well. Not going to give it any more consideration. Right or wrong, I bet we all get the idea...

Ok, so I'm technology impaired. I somehow managed to save a few of these things in the past, but I can't figure out how to save this. :anonymous:

Anyone with an Android phone who can mansplain it to me? :tinfoilhat:
