I would why southest Toyota would put a hold on my truck for almost 2 months. Makes me curious and also when I call my sales person all he says is he is working on it. Just seeing if any one know why this would be thanks.

Mine is effected under the recall when I put a deposit on mine it was at port already and the dealer showed 27 day out for delivery. But when I call them all they say is they are working on it. But I guess me and you are in a waiting game. I wanted the last year of this model because I’m not a big fan of the new motor in the new ones. Guess I’ll just have to wait.

 

@DragonPro23 would you mind looking up my vin? 3TYCZ5AN6PT160843. It was built in July. Vin tracker isn’t working and dealer is not providing the info. Thanks in advance.

 

Thanks for checking. I have the Toyota app and noticed door opening notifications so hoped there would have been some movement.

 

I guess there are a lot of other people affected too with 110,000 total vehicles affected. What's funny is that another truck I found with same demographics Extended cab, 6 ft bed, same color, made 2 days earlier than my truck, shipped in same shipment doesn't have a hold on it, yet mine does. Super frustrating. I check everyday on that website to see if the "fix" is done, I even called Toyota and they said it may not be until next month. Wonder when the re-do of the line is going to be as I don't see mine getting out of "toyota jail" until they can make new parts for the ones on recall, hoping that I can get my truck before the end of September, but not under any illusions that it will be in my driveway by then.

yeah me to I also wanted to get there special finance offer too I just hope they keep extending it. It is frustrating especially when they got ones like ours that are pre sold.

 

So true, they did go up a %, when I reserved mine it was 3.99%, it’s now 4.99%. I’m wondering when they are planning to retool for the 2024, as I suspect that they are waiting to see how many extra parts they have before they fix the recall on mine which may not happen until the end of September according to the person my wife spoke to at the 800 number for Toyota.
