    Congratulations!

If all goes well, I'll be in the same area eventually. Maybe I'll bump into you when I come down this winter.

For sure! I'll PM you when I set dates for the trip. I keep saying I want to hit up some trails down there, but I don't know where to go. Or, even go to a mall crawler show.

Believe me, I want to know too. There's a red 2nd gen around here without a shell that's setup like mine. I've seen him driving around but never talked to the guy. Gonna hit up some area TW threads and Facebook pages for some information

    Truck mods?!

    - Going to get my information and Caitlyn's information moved over to the new residence next week
    - Got some door sill protectors coming to clean up the area after noticing the stock ones do basically nothing to protect the paint in those areas.
    - Scheduled to have the OTT tune done in a few weeks; hoping that makes the truck more pleasant to drive. Looking forward to getting it done.

    Front plate delete mod:

Bolts were seized so the grinder had to come out. Made a mess and trashed the old front plate but fuck removing the bumper.

This may or may not be applicable, but might be worth looking into. In VA, if you have more than 6 months remaining on your registration, you can surrender the plates and get a prorated refund back. Since I've sold and traded cars a few times while living there, I've done it maybe two or three times? Then get a check mailed back a month later.

I don't think I would have gotten that lucky with IL. You have to pay for a copy of your marriage license because they won't send you one after you go in to pay originally. Fucked.

Got the truck tuned last weekend and WOW! What a difference. Comes up to speed a lot better on the highway and no longer gear hunts. The lower RPMs make the truck a lot quieter on the highway as well. The wife loves it.

The tuner wanted to set me up with the spicy tune but I just went with mild for now. I think it's plenty and it will take some getting used to.

The tuner had a little crush:

Time for the next upgrade. I'm thinking a new HU with carplay. Still not sure which route to go.

Also considering tints and redoing the hood vinyl, too.

All depends on your local tuner, too. Isn't really a "set" price nationally. I really like it for the highway and coming up to speed. Doesn't gear hunt.

I think if I ever go to 35's, I might have to get the spicy tune. But definitely recommend. 12/10.

    Thanks bae.

Not an audio guy. I just want something that sounds good, works well with everything else that's stock (speakers, tweeters etc) and that doesn't cost and arm and a leg.

Oh and carplay is a MUST.

I was looking over links saved in my browser on my phone and that model is the one they sell on Trail Grid Pro:

    https://trailgridpro.com/products/sony-xav-ax7000-plug-play-bundle-12-15-tacoma

Not sure why I saved that link or when it's from, though. Weird that it's the one you recommend. Lol

I actually bought the kit from trailgridpro for the 4R lmao It's a nice kit and was very easy to install, would definitely recommend them.
