Thank you for taking the time to respond! I actually got the ECT-i 6-Speed Transmission. The local dealer had no manuals on the lot, and none allocated to them at this time from the factory. And I am definitely going to protect the frame.

as mentioned, some sand bags not only for weight,,,but that one time you may need to cut one open and use the sand as a traction aid to get out of a jamb.

TC button and a set of blizzak tires, good to go all winter long. Mine is a ‘13 with the 2.7

Greetings. Im in NH now but we own a home in Maine also Damscotter area..
You are making a fine purchase here, what color u going with I bought my 2.7 brand new special order back in 2016. Plan to keep that truck for the duration. Are you one to customize or leave stock? Aside from that tune performance wise, a throttle controller works pretty good with the 2.7

Greetings, Neighbor! Thanks for leaving a comment; much appreciated! I went with the Ice Cap White exterior and Cement Gray Fabric.

I have no intentions on doing any customizations, however, I will definitely check out the throttle controller you mention. Thanks for the tip!

What side tires are you running and how did that influence gas mileage?

285/75/16, and yes definitely affects performace and mileage on the 4cyl..

OP, congratulations on such a nice truck purchase! I too have 2WD but in the V6 configuration but I also live in Florida, so, I always knew 4X4 wasn’t a need nor do I wish I had it. On the other hand, I have to say that this has been the nicest 3 page thread I have read on TW in the last 5 years. Enjoy your ride for many, many years and many, many miles.

That is truly nice to hear! I got the SR5 Double Cab V6 4x2 and it seems like the vast majority of folks have 4x4 or TRD. Also, congrats to the OP on your purchase!

Thank you! I love everything about my new truck and wouldn't change anything. I will drive smart in the winter and enjoy it when the roads are decent. Enjoy your new truck too! All the best!
