I agree and we've talked about this. The relay in this case is what makes it work as a rear fog should, only on if other lights are on and off when you turn them or truck off plus latched so you have to manually turn the rear fog on after you turn the vehicle off.

Virgil on the CP forum is helping me figure this out. Apparently the relay doesn't like the PWM signal regulating the front fogs. What is odd is it isn't a problem until the motor is running.

Just ground 85 on the relay. Assuming it’s power switched. I guess if it’s ground switched and PWM’d on the ground that’s a bit of a problem.

Thanks but already changed to power from the parking lights. Works fine, put everything back together and then noticed I must have knocked the tap wire for the raptor lights off. Got to be kidding me. This stuff used to be fun.

I know it’s been a year and a half (no one who knows me would say I am quick), but I finally got powder coating done, so I am assembling these now. The bottom long strip is a VLED LPB brake light that will be my rear fogs.

They are their own circuit. I used parking lights as a source to the switch, and the switch (momentary) triggers a timer that then acts a latching switch. It will reset if the parking lights or the truck is turned off, so no chance of leaving them on mistakenly. The timer triggers a relay, and that turns on the fogs. Also, if I press the switch again while the rear fogs are on, it shuts them off.

A better question is how many aftermarket relays does Johnny have in his truck.
