Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

I went with the TRD lift using the OEM front springs and replaced the rear springs with Icon RXT springs at stage 1 as they come shipped from Icon. Very happy with it. 1000% better than stock.

 

Suspension and tires next!

 

The limo got new shoes today….

Also added vent visors, 15% tint, tri fold tonneau, de-badged, and a diode dynamics light bar. Chrome delete bumper caps are en route…

 

2023 lunar rock. New here. Had several 3rd gen 4Runners before finally pulling the trigger on a Tacoma.

 

Just brought this home yesterday, my first Tacoma.

My LR Taco was built 8/4, and I ordered it 8/8. Was told mid-September delivery. Then a week ago he said delivery date was bumped up to 8/27 (today), but he expected it would come a little early. That would've been ideal as the dealership is closed on Sundays. Unfortunately it did not come early which means it's there at the dealership right now, probably still on a truck. They open at 9, salesman gets in at 11, and he said they'll need time to unload it and clean it up.

So I'm going to work tomorrow as normal, and it's going to be a very long day of said work until I can go pick up this Taco. Might try and knock off early.

It worked out funny: my brake tag (aka inspection sticker everywhere else) AND registration both expire this month, so won't be riding dirty for two weeks which is nice. And it's still pretty early. Still, can't wait to get it home and rip off that air dam...

My first truck was creme beige (<---- profile pic) so I'm a fan of the earth tones...

 

Posting a Cement Taco in a LR thread, you never know. It turns out the LR crowd are a great bunch. And why not, LR is a great color. LR wasn't available in '20, so who knows?

 

I'm about to get one as well. Cool that you got your bumped forward. Ordered mine within a few days of yours. They told me it was being built around September 9, and I still haven't heard from them

 

Yesterday was the big day! We ere a week past the original ETA, then on Tuesday the salesman told me the new ETA was NEXT Tuesday (9/5), which was a bummer bc we were going to take the new Taco camping this weekend. The he texted me out of the blue with a pic of the truck and "Let's go camping!" It was a pretty good day.

This color is even better than I was expecting, and we are entering the time of the last Lunar Rock Tacos. Mine was built 8/4, and I'm sure they'll switch to producing the 24's soon. Makes it even more special...!
