I switched to Dell monitors last year, so far they've been great. Got sick of glass displays. Hadn't messed with the new nano texture offerings, just pulled the trigger on the Dell panels. Shoulda bought three, they axed the model I have already.

Sidenote, I'm getting a little more comfortable with Windows since I've been using the Thinkpad for non-work stuff. I have it as a dual boot machine but have been using Win more than MX lately.

 

Yeah Dell has always put out some badass monitors for color accuracy

It's the only benefit if you ever threw away your money with alienware; their hardware is mainly Dell

Yeah I get that. I don't know much about gaming, I assume a higher refresh rate coupled with the best res you can manage without having to sacrifice game frame rate settings? I don't think I'd care too much about super color accuracy as long as it looks good to the eye for games. Not like you're printing screengrabs.
Sometimes I think about trying it out, like a driving sim or something.

Refresh rates and fps only matter in fast paced gaming, and depending what you're playing, may not even matter such as a role playing game or the sort.

First person shooters, racing sims, and other fast action games could suffer jarring and even screen tearing; one can easily test this by changing the refresh rate of their monitor from 60hz, to 120hz, and again to whatever the max is. There's a visual difference in the way your screen behaves.

But, if you're playing something like Diablo 3, Farm Simulator, Sims, none of that matters as much.

 

Regular Rust-Oleum paint, unless you cut a huge chunk out... Then use a little bit of seam sealer first

I played it a bunch on Xbox. Been a while but it was fun. Was difficult and took a long time to be able to get stable financially. Lots of planning and strategy had to go into it.

 

Maybe we can get him over to MSFS 2020
