Don't make the same mistake I did and buy cheap aftermarket hood. I went all OEM parts for the 2.5 front end update, of course but aftermarket for the largest piece. I've had nothing but problems trying to fit this stupid hood on properly. The front end is done except for the scoop. The scoop is installed, but fits like absolute garbage. The right side is popped up with a huge gap. I've tried bending down the little frame that holds the scoop, but it didn't make much of a difference. Also, the screws and clips that hold this long are all snugly in the mounting holes. Any ideas how I can make this look a little better? It looks as though shitty hood wasn't stamped properly, but I really don't want to try grinding down the metal.

I feel your pain. I rebuilt a crashed sportbike from a salvage yard once, and cheaped out on a chinese-knockoff fairing set. That thing was an absolute bear to even get together, nevermind get any piece to line up anywhere near close. Any time I took any screws out to readjust, it all sprung back apart. I tried not to care much cause i was either gonna sell it or use it as a track beater. Looked alright from a distance but man was it rough up close, and constantly poked at the perfectionist part of my brain.

Maybe try taking the scoop off, getting a large rubber mallet, and gently persuading that corner back up from the underside, a bit at a time till it closes that gap up? Or else get some Bondo and blend it all in nicely?

Thanks, I was going to try the rubber mallet but even when I push on that little piece with my hand, the freaking whole hood bends in. I might just grab a pair of pliers and try and bend it downwards, Even though I think it's the actual lip of the hood itself.

Well it may be the photo playing tricks on me, but it seems that section of the hood itself is sunk in a bit, making the corner of the scoop bezel look raised. I think bending brackets to pull the scoop in, will at best only make the scoop bezel look bent down since the rest looks pretty straight. Gotta bring the surrounding area up to match instead.
