This is my first year doing an event for this organization but it looks like they've used different themes over the years. Not really a forum as such but they do have a discussion board you can join.

One group I like is Team Strange. They put on some long distance motorcycle rallies and do a yearly "Grand Tour" that runs for several months similar to a rally but a more relaxed pace, They've come up with some really interesting themes and challenges.

The overarching group is called the glacial lakes motorcycle club, it's a competition they run annually. They have an idea's thread for 2024 that listed out some of the old ones. Chuck found it and posted in here sometime this winter and I signed up for it.

    This year's comp: http://glmc.org/grand_tour.php
General discussion thread on the comp: http://glmc.org/GLMC_Garage/showthread.php?tid=1109&pid=9052#pid9052

    List of past comps:

And some ideas they originally had for the 2023 before deciding on murals:

All sleeping per usual. This has been the least amount of miles I’ve put on bikes in 20years.

Team Strange had one a few years ago called "States of Confusion". You were looking for signs with town names in which the town shared the name of a state like Indiana, PA. There were extra points for towns named Washington or containing Washington. Extra points for certain colleges named State, the ones they picked were colleges with NCAA men's basketball teams like Appalachian State. I'm not really describing it that we'll but it was fun. Really challenging to find and photograph.

OK i gotta ask, if you want to share, whats your demographic? Age, married etc. Cus man, you are able to ride allllllllll the time and im ENVIOUS.

If married / in a relationship, does your partner join you? The FJR would make this easy to chew up miles like that 2up but still! ENVOIUS!

EDIT - im going to stereotype based on FJR.... retired 60+?

Still envious of the amount of riding and the cool places, id love to be able to do that on the regular.

Translation says he is attempting it, and possibly 2000 KMs. Or is that older and he has actually completed it?

I hung out with a guy yesterday at Overland Expo who rode a Honda Trail 125 to all 48 states last year.

I asked too quickly. After translating I scrolled down, and he has pics showing he did the 1800.
