Gator and BAKFlip are made by the same company (RealTruck/Truck Hero) and you can see the similarities. RealTruck also has the Extang, Truxedo, Retrax, and Undercover brands.
The Gator doesn't have the extra small panel to give full access to the bed or the hardware to drop the rails so you can save some money.

    Ingenious solution from the OP.

I’m hair-challenged and after a hot day, I love taking on my hat when I drive…yet where to put said hat has always been an annoyance for me.

On the dash and it gets in the way, on the passenger seat and it moves or I have a passenger, no room in the center console area, etc.

Today I solved that problem thanks to a 3D printed hat holder off Etsy.

I’ve been off and on all day on TW. Must be a glitch or the government doesn’t want us to see some bad ass mods

You should drill a couple of holes and glue in some PVC pipe pieces to make it look like you've "spent" a couple of rounds!

And maybe add a dummy switch for Photon Torpedos! ;-)

I touched up my sliders during a dry spell between rains. The paint blended well once it was dry, and will get dirty soon enough.

i did think about it. i chose to keep it simple and reversible, it's really only a temporary 'for fun' mod.

i've got other parts to eventually do a knightrider/cylon scanner in that space, but still figuring out the details of how i want to do the acrylic work.

I have never installed one but it seems like the dry method is kinda a go for it method. I know when I was installing the wheel overlays I used the soapy method and it worked great
