    I switched from dino to synthetic when we came here in 2001. "They" said could go 10K ... never was comfortable with that as I grew up on 3K for dino oil. I went with the concept, but started checking the dipstick every 2-3 weeks at least after the 3K point. Around 7.5K it just got too dark for my comfort. I settled back on 5K. It's what I'm comfortable with. Oil is cheap ... engine damage is not. You know you are welcome here anytime.
