Morning all got storm prep and pig to finish processing. You all have a good day. All the generators ready, boards are up and batteries charged . Now we got to wait for the storm to figure out it’s route.

    @RustyGreen get some rest .

    Math….
    August has 31 days.
We used up 27 of them (today is 28th).
There are only 3 more (not including today).
A week is 7 days, so we’re going to find our selves a little short.
So, welcome September. It starts this week.
This means August is ending, it’s last week of appearance.

    Math?

Feels like more of a wrinkle in the space/time fabric that jumped from May to now :D

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
In my case I was always on the road for work .

Then one tank of gas in a year I was the to point of going Stir crazy .

I just had to get away . Now back to my normal routine less then 60 miles a month.

Groceries and Post office. I have found I get along fine eating once a day.

Coffee is now every few days .

The older I get the faster the time goes. I used to get used to writing the month/year down on forms, now I always have to check that I have the right one haha

You scared me for a second when I saw that, I hadn’t checked the track they this morning. I’m over in Pensacola so out of the cone of doom right now. I am keeping a close watch on it since it’s just wobbling around out there. I would really like for it to start moving north so we know where it’s going.

Also, Idalia?? What the hell kind of name is that?!?

Well, the power came on at 8:30 -- a long one at 7-1/2 hours.

The electric company has an outage map, the repair estimate said 4:10 AM, usually they are back on before time so something pretty bad must have happened.

Pouring now, messed up way to start the week.

For me an average trip to town is 35 miles round trip and I typically go once per week, sometimes every other week. Depends on how long the fresh food holds out. The bulk of my my mileage comes from going to see my folks in Florida a few time each year and a couple wheeling trips. Those wheeling trips are my version of fuel burned just for fun.:mudding:

Yes. Time passes at the pace that is inverse function to your time alive. When you were a kid, those three month summers took years! People completely changed appearance in those three months! Girls grew boobs!
Now, at 60 years old, June was last week and July was Friday. Christmas is this weekend it will seem.
To my 96 year old father in law, time passes so fast he does not believe you when you tell him the date. He only gets out to go to doctor visits and it takes two to help him. He will tell you about a doctor's visit yesterday to him (three months ago according to the calendar) and the actual visit he had yesterday has not registered yet.
