Welcome. One size up and no the lift won't help. Wanna fit big ol tires? Get a big hammer and a grinder and you will eventually fit big ol tires.

Define big...you can fit 34" tires without any rub with the proper wheels and a good alignment. You can fit skinny 33" tires or 315's but they wont be tall.

Best option for going larger with no trouble is 265/75R16.

Not really we get people like you in here all the time that are clueless. If you want a real answer go to someone local that knows about lifts

Respectfully, big is in the eye of the beholder (she said to me once).

255/85/16 works on *most* stock off roads. That’s relatively tall and skinny and some would say ‘big’. 285’s and 315’s are traditionally considered big(ger), and your results will depend on the aspect ratio.

You’re new to TW, by post count at least. As soon as you realize there are a bunch of wise-asses in here, you’ll have a much better experience and get more out of the forum. I know it’s sometimes hard when you’re stumbling into a bear-pit you didn’t know existed, but accept it as part of the experience, and that experience and learning curve will go positive quicker.

PS, sometimes I’m one of those WA’s. Particularly after some good bourbon.

It’s not meant maliciously (usually). Just give and take with them and you’ll get along just fine.
