Love the Fj as well. Is that a dome light in your rear window?

How many months out of the year in AK do you get to use your light bar?

It may not be about how many months but more about how many hours. It may not get completely dark in July but in December it may never get light outside even at noon. Being that Alaskans probably spend more hours awake when it is only dark than they do a sleep when it is never dark.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Ha! You got me, I got lazy with that one. However I do have a box of extra lights that I am looking to get into.
Been saving them for my off-road trailer :)

This truck is crazy built. I have had a bunch of Landcruisers over the years, and this replaced one of them. Trying to get used to the taco platform, feels cramped compared to my RCSB Tundra :/

Trying to figure out what color? Why Amber?

A lot of people ask me why I got so much Amber on the trucks instead of clear. The reason is that I live on the east coast mountains in a dense forest.

The clear is so bright that it is blinding as it bounces off the near by foliage. The giant oak trees are almost almost appear white as you pass by them.

I did opt for a clear spot in the center of my roof rack, as I can use it when I am moving at speed on longer wide open stretches.

Overall the Amber is easier on my eyes and I can run the lights wide opens without dimming them at all.

I get a lot of comments on these lights, even when they aren’t turned on :)
Lots has changed on this truck over the years, but the lights have stayed.

It's so hard to tell from the front end. Sounds like you have a pretty custom setup. How do you have everything wired up?

@Baja Designs will do. My bumper is designed for an s8 30 inch, using a drl/flood combo from rough country for now as a place holder
