I have a 3rz so anything is honestly an upgrade to me. As long as I can keep up traffic and not have to floor my poor 3rz I’m happy. Torque at 1700 sounds like a dream to me

It does, doesn’t it? Know Toyota engines like to rev, but I don’t drive like that. More of a lugger. Diesel would be perfect for my driving style. A turbo gasser, guess will have to do. :)

But it will make so much power it will just explode!! Not like they designed it to handle it or anything. All that torque it will rip itself apart!

That’s crap, the seats fold backwards.

Infotainment screen looks good from eye level…

Saw that, not only mostly useless for passengers, useless for storage too. Nothing a seat delete wouldn’t fix. Not even sure why these things even come with rear passenger seats anyways. If we had the need to haul people surely wouldn’t buy a Tacoma.

Interesting and nice video on there. I hope that I saw vents to the back seats so my wife or kid stop complaining when they sit back there, or when I do and my wife drives.
I don’t remember seeing before about the single piece driveshaft or billies with a resi (on the OR with premium).

Jesus, TRD Pro pogo seats will eat up the rear leg room to nothing i bet. I hope some youtube testers can get ahold of one and really test out it out back there.

Yep, looks like they screwed up the rear seating cargo area with that flip up design. The current configuration is one of the best across the board for midsize trucks. With a small interior like the Tacoma, any flat cargo storage is a premium..and just like that they screwed it up. I guess the handy small bit of storage behind that seat is gone as well.

It is like they advanced on a few things (power and payload) and went backwards on others (no access cab, rear seat cargo on the DC is a joke). Typical Toyota though, never can get it “just right” always something.

I am very much considering it at some point. This 15mpg tundra is not fun. Plus I don't think I really need a full size pickup. I do a lot of hunting with lots of highway miles and getting 25mpg+ would be great.

I swore on the earlier videos when it first came out the seats also flip down. And there was storage behind the seats...

It’s the same length as a 3rd gen.
The wheelbase got a little longer but the physical size from bumper to bumper is the same.
