My brother in stressin, you're in Colorado to see the scenery don't let a rack leak stop you. Top off the power steering as you go, find some engine oil it doesn't have to be 10w30 and go see what you went all the way out there to see

I can't imagine a PS leak is so bad that it would leave that much of a mark on the trail as you go, unless you completely blew a line or something. Maybe add some of that stop leak stuff to the PS and see if that helps slow it down a little, otherwise just keep topping it off.

My brother and sister in law want to breed their Golden retriever they got from a breeder last year, I asked why and they feel it's something they should do because she's "purebred". Like wtf, who cares. There are plenty of purebred breeders out there already for the folks that care about that. Irks me but what can you do.

This is how much it stopped after being parked for an hour. Idk, it just doesn’t seem like a good look out on the trail. The stop leak is an idea, but I’ve heard that stuff can make leaks worse sometimes. Maybe it’s with a try though.

Goldens are the most common purebreeds out there anyway, go to a shelter... 99% chance that any golden that's there is a purebred golden.

yeah that's nothing man, get a few bottles of ATF and some stop leak for it and go have fun.

If you popped a freeze plug like I did a couple years ago and were puking a waterfall of coolant out the back of the engine while it was running it'd be a different story

It's absolutely fine, grab some maxlife atf and keep it fullish. What comes out of the tailpipe is worse than what you're dripping there.

I think they are just in for the extra bucks mostly but aren't admitting it, I mean that's the primary reason most people do it. But I just couldn't do that with a good conscience knowing all the dogs that are getting put down everyday because there aren't enough homes for them.

You mean the whole rack or just the boots on the end?

Might ask for the Range Rover since I’m in Colorado.

Engine oils I would run til winter:
    5W30
    10W30
    10W40
    5W40

Should easily find spare quarts of at least one of those

the boot where it's leaking. It'll soak up the fluid and won't drip til the rag is soaked through

the 4runner is 85% 5w30 and 10% 10w30 and 5% 5w40 right now, based on what I could find in storage to keep it topped off because I'm too lazy to go buy more 5w30.

You normally buy your stuff in bulk right?

I'm more of a 12 quart person myself.
