At least I wouldn’t have to buy an engine hoist though.

I don’t have credit history, so I couldn’t get approved for an auto loan, at least not at outrageous interest rates.

I get that. Well then at least a Toy/Lexus built in the last decade would be a good start.

I think they’re so pretty. It’d be a cool project car, and fun to look at in the drive.

Just open up a credit card for small payments, pay it every month, you'll start working up credit. You won't be denied a credit card, they have decent ones for people just starting out on their credit journey. You'll have a low limit but that's a good thing while you build it up

and I don't mean one of those Old Navy credit cards or something, talk with your bank

Agreed. Just not as a main vehicle, for me anyway.

I’ll try for the Discover one again, maybe I’ll have to call them to clear it up.

Clearly you didn't follow my advice :luvya::luvya::luvya:

This guarantees approval for beginners and makes the 'inquiry' worth it versus the inquiries with rejections that will now sit on your credit bureau for a minimum of 2 years

I shared this advice to you as a former finance director with years in the credit business

He will get rejected; he's been rejected before and an increasing number of inquiries makes him a larger risk

    Nice!
Definitely ignore that little drip you have from the rack if you're out on a trip in that kinda country. You'll kick yourself when you get home if you don't go enjoy it. A lot of us are nowhere near those kind of views / trails.

I have Discover and one through Chase, I usually use the Discover because of the cash back perks and what not. I don't know if Discover does ones for people with no credit history though
